Large & private, beautiful basecamp

This was a perfect basecamp for my wife and I to explore the Northeast Kingdom of VT. Nicely located with Craftsbury to the south, Newport to the north, and lots of great gems in-between, we had a blast. The hosts are incredibly thoughtful and organized. When we arrived at the site we were delighted to find a beautiful fire pit with grill, a picnic table with a map of the property trails to explore, and a very nice and clean outhouse. A nearby stream provides good water to filter from. And the site has a good mix of sunny and shady parts. There is some standing water nearby, so you will want to bring your bug technology. And there is a road nearby that has muted but audible traffic during daylight hours. But at night, the chorus of frogs will enchant you to sleep.

Amazing stay at Ted and Liza's place. The camp site is beautiful, and so quiet. It's also amazing that they have all these miles of trail around the property to hike around. We loved it and will be back!

To say that this place is “Absolutely gorgeous” just doesn’t do it justice. The campsite itself is perfect and much more private than we were expecting.

Ted and Liza, the owners, always responded to text messages within 5 min and even came down to to help us get a fire started on the first night. I really can’t say enough about them.

We spent Sunday hiking one of the 3 trails which start right in the site itself. This brought us to a beautiful shallow river filled with gorgeous rocks which we really enjoyed walking through (bring water shoes, you won’t regret it). We then ended the day with a relaxing walk through the fields that are filled with wildflowers and butterflies.

Can’t wait to return.

Camp site exactly as pictured set up and ready to go when we arrived with well maintained and beautiful hiking/walking trails throughout the property. Dark skies in the area gave us some great star gazing opportunities. Location had easy access to some perfect road/gravel cycling as well could not have asked for more.
