28 acres hosted by Mitch & Marla T.
We're a nature-loving couple with a dream of self-sufficient homesteading, and we finally acquired our dream farm in 2015: A beautiful 1857 farmhouse on 28 acres of rolling pastures and woods. We raise Jacob sheep (a rare, Heritage breed) for meat and wool, a couple of Jersey cows for raw milk, cheese and yogurt, chickens for meat and eggs, and horses for no good reason at all (according to the husband). We grow a very large garden, berry bushes, apple orchard, and grape vines for wine and jelly. We also keep bees, and forage for local delicacies such as fiddleheads, wild leeks and elderberries. We are committed to an organic, sustainable and simple life and we really enjoy good food!
