Mountain home tent sites sits on a nearly 200 acre historic hill farm in Tunbridge, VT. The land was cleared for farming in the 1790's and since that time has had only four land owners. The family that cleared the land is buried in a plot on the farm. Over the years the farm has undergone many changes, but dairy farming has been a consistent activity. Still actively farmed as Fledgling Farmstead, our farm is home to cows, sheep, chickens, goats, fruit trees, and a veggie and herb CSA and farm store. We also host workshops and on-farm events. Today Mountain Home Farm milks six Guernsey cows and makes butter, buttermilk and ricotta cheese.  The forest is actively managed for firewood and saw logs. There are also beef, pigs and horses raised on the farm. The land is incredibly diverse from a high exposed hill top to a deep a forested mountain brook and everything in between. Come pitch your tent on a remote hill top surrounded by amazing views and nearly two hundred acres of diverse forests and pasture lands. These tents sites are located on an historic hill farm settled in 1790. Outhouse on site!  There are trails for hiking and mountain biking (no dirt bikes or ATV's) all over the farm and a beautiful brook in a sheltered mountain valley. Just a 5 minute drive to the bottom of the hill is the first branch of White River; a beautiful clean river for swimming and fishing crossed by multiple covered bridges that lead to the farm. We hope you will come visit the farm and enjoy the remote mountainous beauty of Tunbridge!

The views are amazing and the site was private. The drive up to the sites was a 4x4 adventure! Can't wait to go back again!

Great spot!!
You cannot beat the views from Evan's campsites. We rented all three and had a large group on the top of the hill. It was really nice to have outhouses and the sink. Will definitely be coming back!

Such a beautiful campsite! Could hear people from other sites but it wasn’t a bother. Definitely make sure you have a AWD/4WD vehicle. Highly recommend!

Site 3 - Mountain Home Tent Sites
Evan has a beautiful spot to camp at. The sites are very well maintained. We stayed at Site#3 and you were not able to see the other sites. There is plenty of space to set up camp. It feels like your own oasis surrounded by trees. Very peaceful. I would recommend adding his farm fresh eggs, they are delicious cooked over an open fire! Looking forward to our next stay!

Ah, the views and delish veggies 2
100% would recommend Evan's place. The sites are super well cared for and kempt, as well as nicely spread out for ultimate privacy. The common area is great and the views magnificent. Site 1 and 3 were our favorites as we have a roof top tent. We would highly recommend his veggies, eggs, and firewood. Best tasting salad and eggs and the firewood is very generous. Being dog friedly is a huge plus and Evan is super nice to make it a perfect stay all around.
