This place was spectacular. We are already trying to figure out when we can come and stay again. The between starting the day at the outdoor shower to ending it with a view of the stars at the fire circle, it was the perfect off-the-grid weekend.
Good vibes and good views
We needed a last minute getaway from NYC, seeking nature and isolation, and we got it. This location couldn’t be any more beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. The cozy little off-grid cabin nestled in the mountains was the perfect retreat and I already can’t wait to return.
The host, Rama, was very nice and made us feel very welcome right away. He met us at the location and told us a bit about the property and it’s amenities, including a yoga room in the main barn, the outdoor showers, hiking trails, horses, and so much more. Rama’s love and passion for this property what he does is abundantly clear and his joy was certainly infectious, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind while being surrounded by nature and positive energy, look no further.
Off the grid paradise
Absolutely loved this place. Perfect getaway for the weekend. Had a relaxing time in the hammock sanctuary then paddle boating in the lake down the road. The cabin was super cozy and extremely clean. Amazing host and overall experience. Highly recommend spending a weekend or more here
I enjoyed my stay at Milldale Farm and would definitely like to return. The cabin was very clean and the bed comfortable. It was pleasant to while away some time here. There are 2 other cabins and a communal fire pit. No other bookings when I stayed so it was really peaceful. Rama was a wonderful host.
Perfect relaxing immersion
We had a wonderful stay & just what was needed. Unplugged and felt completely relaxed after a weekend away here. The host was very accommodating & understanding about arriving late the first night. Yoga was a very unique experience. I’ve been to a variety of yoga practices & this was will truly be memorable, thank you Kayla. We will definitely be returning someday & recommending this gem to our friends. Loved all the small touches as far as camp kitchen & the entire farm. Horse back riding was wonderful as well, totally engulfed in the autumn atmosphere.
Restorative and peak leaf-peepin
This place is beautiful, especially at this time of year. It was a really cold night, but the cabin has great bedding, and we were warm enough with our 8 month old daughter even though the temperature dipped down to the mid-30s. The property itself is such a joy to explore, and I'd love to come back and participate in a retreat.
Serene, energizing, peaceful
This place is magical. It’s serene, energizing and peaceful all at once. The cabin we stayed in was perfect- I love that they thought of everything including ledges for setting things down and hooks, towels for the outdoor shower, and water. I brought my two young kids and it was very family friendly. We did a yoga class in the morning with Shaun. It was great and my kids had fun. Rama was so kind and warm. We really felt like he was excited to have us there. The fall colors were at their peak when we visited and the views From the cabins are stunning. We hope to come back!
Couldn’t be better!!!
Could not recommend this place more!! The area is beautiful, hiking nearby, less than 5 minutes from Lake Fairlee AND the Atlas Obscura special—Vermontasaurus. The best part of our whole trip was the host. Rama went above and beyond, and even when we took a wrong route and ended up being late by an hour, he was so understanding and took the time to show us everything before heading off! The fire pit are are was well maintained, outhouse was clean, cabin was great, bed was comfy, the extra comforter was just what we needed to snuggle on top of our winter sleeping bags!
The horses at the farm are beautiful, the yoga studio is making me want to come back next summer for his yoga festival! Do yourself a favor and come here for a weekend/week/month. could spend a while here.
