Large mowed section of meadow with fantastic views of Mt. Mansfield and surrounding green mountains. One of two sites that cannot see each other in this meadow provides room for large tents, car camping, camp trailers and still have space for activities. A nice stone fire ring is a great spot to watch the night sky. The site is backed up to the maples for afternoon shade.

We loved our stay!
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Louella’s. The site far exceeded our expectations: beautiful views, an immaculate porta-potty with a nightlight, and plenty of privacy. Louella came out to greet us with a warm smile and offered us newspaper and water. We cannot recommend this campsite enough.
This spot is awesome! We were the first campers to stay here and were not disappointed. We parked a tow behind camper, but the site would be great for tents as well. The location pin was accurate and there’s signage as well which is always helpful. The hosts are incredibly gracious and welcoming. The view of the mountains was amazing, firewood was provided, and there was a pristine porta potty. It’s a good location to explore the area with day trips to Burlington, Richmond, or Stowe. I would definitely stay here again!
Excellent camping with amenities
This is a great place to camp near Burlington/Stowe and worth the price. The camping area is well kept, there is plenty of space for multiple cars and people, and the port-a-potty was very clean and included hand sanitizer.
The views are quite amazing. We had purple sunsets and foggy sunrises. There is a small trail right at the site that leads you down the hill to even better views. The hosts are attentive, friendly and provide all the privacy you would expect.
I would absolutely stay here again. My only surprise is how close to the neighborhood road the camping area is. We heard cars here and there throughout our stay. But, on the flip side it is very easy to pull into the camping area with a low clearance 2-wheel drive vehicle and also to get to town or hiking at Underhill state park.
The meadow was beautiful-incredible stargazing, and we felt tucked into our own little space on the hill. There was an ample supply of firewood and the cleanest porta potty I’ve ever seen! Easy access to Burlington and Lake Champlain. Would happily stay here again!
We had a great night at the meadows.! We stayed in a van and a tent with an ample amount of flat space that was easy to access. The view to Mansfield was awesome, and site was well shaded from the July sun. There is a pristine porta potty located convenient to the site and a fire pit.
We enjoyed being greeted and meeting the warm gracious family that owns the land.
Beautiful views. Toilet was clean. Campsite was really well maintained and private. Felt comfortable leaving for a day hike with a tent up and car at the site. Had a wonderful stay over the weekend with some friends.
We had a great stay at the Upper Meadow. A beautiful, quiet, private site with amazing views of the mountains. Easy access to all that Burlington, Stowe, and everything in between has to offer.
Louella was very responsive to my questions and maintains the site impeccably. She even left some firewood for our use.
We’ll be back!
Louella and Dan were gracious hosts and very accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed. They even brought us some fresh eggs from their chickens! The views here are outstanding. Mount Mansfield can be seen in the distance and the sunrises are breathtaking. As mentioned by previous Hipcampers, the outhouse is absolutely spotless. Tiny crickets and tiny slugs littered the ground and coyotes howled in the distance at night. The mornings and evenings were peaceful and the sound of crickets were nice to fall asleep and wake up to. The back roads to get here were traffic free and plenty of sprawling landscapes to see along the way. Check out the Dancing Ewe Farm in Greenwich, NY for lunch/dinner. Amazing food and less than 30 minutes away. Had a great time and would definitely recommend Louella’s site!
