Hemlock/Handlewood is located on the farside of the the furtherst meadow at Harold's View Farm. Right now we are offering a choice between the two campsites for the listing and campers can choose when they arrive. Both are large mowed sections of field that back up to a wooded ledge area. There is a stone fire pit and firewood can be foraged in the woods behind the sites. We have removed as much barbed wire fencing as possible but be aware that there could still be those harzards. The campsites overlook many meadows and there is a well established beaver pond that hosts a plethera of wildlife species. Feel free to explore the wooded ledge and walk on the many mowed trails on the property.  When arriving you enter at the third farm access drive marked entrance 3. There is a parking area in the beginning of the fields. If you have a high clearance 4wd vehicle you can attempt to cross the earth bridge to the far meadows and campsites. If not or if the conditions are wet please park in the designated area. It is a short walk across and up a small hill to the site.  There are currently two mowed areas that you can choose from with a "potty box" located at the corner of the wooded ledge. This privy is open to the elements but provides a unique experience for when you need to go.

Private, pristine camp site with beautiful sunlit countryside views and 360 degree window to the night sky. We had the space we wanted, and the potty box was great! This site is simple camping at its best—no frills, and everything you need. Make sure you clarify directions before you go—we got a little turned around and weren’t positive which site was ours.
