Lake Effect
Brian’s place was great. There were 4 other parties there with their tents set up, so it wasn’t as secluded as we expected, but it ended up being more than enough space. The grounds were well kept with pretty views and wildflowers. It was so nice being able to use the host’s shower and bathroom throughout our stay. We even got to store some food in his fridge and use his stove. Plenty of firewood and Brian had a fire going each night.

Brian was a great host! Very laid back and friendly. He was enthusiastic about telling us about all the cool things to do in the area. Lake Effect is in a great location, especially if you're planning on biking on the Island Line Trail which is what we did. It's also so convenient to Burlington and a drive in movie theater. Brian's place is on a dead end dirt road so it's really quiet and you can see the lake from his driveway. It was also a great place to star gaze. Hope to be back soon!

Brian was a very gracious host and goes above & beyond. He made us feel right at home, was helpful with directions and places to go. We had power to our Sprinter Van and access to a clean bathroom and kitchen amenities. The site is quiet and peaceful. It was easy to get to many places. We will be back for sure.

Lake effect was a wonderfully special place to stay. We stayed during a busy weekend and there was plenty of room. Met some amazing people. Shared the most amazing food and the hospitality was beyond exceptional. I would highly recommend Lake effect for your next adventure.

Brian is the most wonderful host, he gave us insider tips on great places to go and told us all about the history of the bike causeway, and his place is the most beautiful location right on the tip of mallets bay. Such a warm, welcoming and friendly soul, we look forward to seeing Brian again very soon!
