We loved our time at La Lu Farm Goat Yurt! Constancia was very kind and was there to greet us and show us around the place. The property was beautiful and the yurt was super cozy. We made our dinner over the fire overlooking the mountainside with it's gorgeous changing leaves. There are some spectacular hikes and waterfalls just a few miles from this farm. A great place to stay when you're exploring Vermont!
Great night as La Lu Farm! My son was visiting a local college and I needed a last minute (but interesting) lodging. Constancia called me just after me booking the site. She was great. The goats are fun and friendly. The yurt was clean and dry and set is a great meadow with a river running nearby in the woods -- you don't see the river because of the trees but you hear it all night long which was great. I went out for some local craft brew and dinner (and you can get both Sip Of Sunshine and Heady Topper IPAs in the local general store) and came back for a big campfire and star-watching. You can even help milk the goats in the morning and have some of Constancia's matcha tea (Argentinian version). Great time and highly recommended!
Had a great time camping here. When we arrived, we were greeted by their dog who acted as our guide in exchange for a game of fetch and a herd of goats that had a lot to say! Sesame, the matriarch of the herd, was my favorite. It was such a thrilling experience walking with the goats and getting to milk them. The yurt was an impresive site, surrounded by amazing scenery and wildlife. I wished I could have stayed longer.
This was a very cool place to camp. The yurt is private from the main house - located down a hill overlooking a beautiful field with a mountain view. I very much enjoyed walking around with the goats and hiking down to the river.
The location is a real gem ! Breathtaking landscape, beautiful site in the mountains with a lot of privacy. My son loved the goats so much ! Constancia and her family are really kind and welcoming. They showed us around and taught us how to milk the goats. It was great meeting them ! The only thing for me was the yurt itself which left me a bit disappointed. Last camper’s linens were still on the bed when we arrived, so no cleaning was done. Still overall a cool and unique experience !
The La Lu Goat yurt experience was phenomenal from start to finish! Our host was super informative and helpful, even provided a tour of the barn and shower/restroom facilities and graciously provided equipment to help get ourself to camp.
The friendly and adorable goats accompanied us to the yurt and grazed in the beautiful rolling field while we settled in. If you’re seeking picturesque and private LOOK NO FURTHER!
The yurt and surrounding firepit and picnic area are stocked with essentials and some extras like grates/pans/utensils for cooking, chairs, board games, etc.
The property is huge and right next to a creek that lulled us to sleep and provided one of the better hikes of my life! There’s so much to see so keep your eyes and your ears open!
Constancia offers dinner and breakfast options for a nominal fee and she will even let you milk the goats and learn to make cheese!
These people and their land are both really special and will add a memeory to whatever journey you are on that you will not soon forget.
