HOWL is a secluded 50 acres of conserved land, with beautiful southwest-facing mountain views, great sunsets, and hiking/snowshoeing trails. The land is adjacent to Camel's Hump State Park and includes forest, meadows and agricultural pasture; with house and barn. The camping areas are located in our meadows. You will be camping at a site that we have mowed especially for you, or on a tent platform adjacent to the woods.  Site 1 is a tent platform and is close to the house.  Site 2 is also a tent platform, and is the farthest site from the house.  Site 3 is in a grassy open field.  Site 4 is in a more secluded field, with rougher ground, mostly surrounded by trees.  We are located 40 minutes from Burlington, 45 minutes from Montpelier, and 50 minutes from Middlebury.

HOWL is an incredible place, and Michele and Lani were wonderful and welcoming Hosts.

You drive up a steep, unpaved road right to the end, park your car near the main house, and then enter this gorgeous conservation area run by amazing women!

We pitched our tent on top of the property, overlooking the rolling green hills -- there are a couple places to choose from on this property. Ours was a short (less than a minute!) walk to the AMAZING outhouse (complete with reading material), water, and fire pit. We experienced total solitude as we were the only Hipcampers, cooked over a fire, sat by the pond, went to bed early and woke up to the music of songbirds.

This is a truly special place, we're already planning our return trip.
