Staying at Lucinda’s place was better than we hoped for- the space was private, with everything we needed, and more. The river is incredible, and there are many additions to make it a very fun and comfortable experience. One of the nicest camping experiences I’ve had!
I have to say I’ve had some memorable camping experiences but Lucinda’s site was one of my favourites ever! It’s exactly what you would want - beautiful camping site in the trees, fully stocked with everything from fire pit and benches to a fully enclosed master tent with kitchen table, charcoal grills, shower with hot water, composting toilet, beautiful view, completely private, swimming beach and huge boulders to suntan on! Oh and the first night we had our own light show of fireflies, which was absolutely beautiful.
Lucinda was very kind and accommodating, and showed us in even though we arrived a little bit later than expected. My only hesitation about leaving too much of a glowing review is letting the secret of this gem out ;) Honestly, you will not be disappointed!
Another perfect trip to vermont
Second time going to camp at Horses and Pathfinders, and flawless again! As I described in my last review, this place is a lil slice of heaven, everything that you could possibly want out of a camping experience!
Private river views!
Gorgeous site. Very private & tons of amenities (oh man, hot shower!).
Loved the river view & had some good dips. Not a bad drive to Stowe & Waterbury Center with lots to do and see.
It was perfect! There was an amazing river to swim in, with a sandy beach. The site has everything you could possibly want, from outdoor shower, to hammock. Lucinda was amazing! Dog friendly too!
Lucinda's property is absolutely amazing. So much better than I anticipated. The campsite is nestled in a nice wooded area with a beautiful beach/river/swimming hole on one side and wide open field on the other. There is also a communal tent to hangout in, lawn chairs, fire pit, and all the camping essentials you may need. Lucinda was great as well. Super friendly and introduced me to her horses.
Convenient and quiet campsite
We had an awesome time at Lucinda's!! The campsite is super convenient to the highway and easy to find, but feels very private. The swimming hole was WONDERFUL and the sandy beach was perfect for our 2 year old's. The kitchen set up was great and had so many conveniences, including running water. The field next to the campsite was perfect for star gazing. All the convenience of camping at a campground but without the crowds, and Lucinda was very tolerant of our noisy children. Would definitely stay again if she'd have us!
