This was surprisingly one of the most beautiful campsites I've had the opportunity of staying at. It is set in a secluded field with an amazing view of the surrouding area during sunrise and sunset. The site itself has a bathroom and outdoor shower (great hot water). There is also a nice campfire area with chairs and wood, so it's easy to get up and running. I only spent a night here but overall I thought this was a great place to stay. Ashley and Jeffery were also very welcoming. I would stay here in the future and definitely recommend this location.

What a great deal!  Ashley was very responsive during our booking process and extremely welcoming.  She (and her sweet dog, Lennox) greeted us upon arrival and let us know a little history about the area before we settled into our site.
The campsite is a quick walk from the road and a short distance from the main house, but we felt peaceful and secluded the whole time.  The commode on the site is clean, cute, and totally self contained.  The firepit is just around the corner from the main site and firewood is included with the reservation (bonus!)  We were pleasantly surprised to find out we had booked our stay during their outdoor Cinema Under the Stars series.  We bundled up and enjoyed the movie on the big screen in the crisp fall air - and our ticket was included with our reservation (double bonus!)
The leaves had just begun changing during our stay and we could already tell this site offers prime leaf peeping - nestled at the foot of the mountains, you are surrounded by color!  There are many walking paths in the field around the site and we are tempted to come back in a week or two to really see the majesty of the Green Mountain range in the fall.
Definitely recommend the Snake Mountain hiking trail nearby as a great way to start your day. If we had stayed longer, we certainly would have hiked it each morning.  The town of Middlebury is about a 15-20min drive from the site and the Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is a good place to stop if you forgot any provisions or to pick up some beer and snacks.
We are relatively new to Hipcamp and hope all our future sites live up to this one!  We will definitely come back.  If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and clean homebase for your adventures in Southern Vermont, absolutely book The Willows Campsite at Kesin Gardens!

We had a FANTASTIC weekend at The Willows Campsite! It’s a gorgeous, private spot with a welcoming willow tree and a striking,
open view of the gorgeous surrounding ridge lines (full of vibrant colors right now!). Ashley was warm and welcoming over text and upon arrival. There was clear signage and a wagon waiting for us as well as a handwritten note pointing out local plants that our little ones should avoid. The compost toilet was clean and clearly very cared for-as well as the sink and outdoor shower. Our only regret is that we didn’t make our way over to the fire pit nearby one of our night. I really can’t say enough good things-the entire experience exceeded all our expectations and there is no doubt we will make our way back. Big thanks to Ashley!

Do yourself a favor and book this camp site - a slice of heaven on earth! Beautiful site, amazingly cared for and meticulously maintained. Heeps of fire wood plus lighters and kindling and newspaper for starting the campfire all stored under the cover of an easily accessible woodshed so it wasn't soaked with the afternoon's rain upon arrival!
Ashley was very responsive in her communication and was clear and very informative.
Hot water available for dishes and an outdoor shower!! This place has everything!
Our 2 year old, and 4 year old had as much fun as we did. We can't wait to return!
Thank you, Ashley!

Our first HipCamp experience was great! The space was large, peaceful and private, and just as described on the listing. Snake Mountain is very close by and we enjoyed the hike and views. Highly recommend!
