Please look up the Wiki about Barton Vermont . Fascinating history and information about the area . This property will be turned into a homestead for my now 13 year old daughter who has become too Americanized and on her phone all day 😉. She is going to learn how to grow her own food and become fully self sustainable . In the meantime I would like Hipcampers to enjoy the property and the views . Learn more about this land: Great mountain and lake views on secluded 48 acres ! The property is close to Crystal Lake , Lake Willoughby. You can see Canadian mountains from the top camping site . I Recommend parking in lower lot and hiking to the top to camp. The road is a off road/logging road to the top. Hipcamp and myself does not cover any damage to your vehicle . Read reviews before booking. It is a hike to the top that takes about 10-15 minute. Wear proper footwear . Must be a camper, outdoorsy or in decent shape to book this campsite . Again , please read reviews before booking . Thank youGreat mountain and lake views on secluded 49 acres ! You can see Canadian mountains from the top camping site . Best Mountain Campsite in Hipcamp!
Anthony was an absolutely great host and the views on the Green Mountain was even better! This spot is a beautiful window into nature with animals and evergreens as far as the eye can see. The trail as he said yo the mountain is a little tricky so 4 wheel drive and off roaring experience is necessary. I weren’t on the first snow of the year in November and it was a winter wonderland. The campsite was super spacious and private and on a clear night had a great view of the stars. The place was 5/5 stars and we will definitely return.

This property is beautiful and very private. The clearing with the pond and fireplace is bigger than it looked in the pictures. The view is stunning. Unfortunately it rained while I was here which limited the experience. But it was beautiful nonetheless, and Anthony was easy to communicate with. It would be more enjoyable with a truck so you can drive to the top. Without that it's a bit of a hike if you're hauling firewood or anything. But that's the price to pay for privacy and a view. Ultimately this is a very nice camp spot at a reasonable price!

MTbiking and Foilage!
Anthony has his own "private Idaho" here. Vermont at its best! Directions were very clear, his communication was spot on. If you like to drop out, enjoy mother nature's beauty, this is your spot.

Great views!
Had a great stay here! View was fantastic, nice quiet place to camp. Anthony was very punctual with responding to messages. One thing to note is that it is a bit of a hike to get up to the campsite, so be prepared to carry your things up with you. Overall, we would definitely come back here! Thanks Anthony!

King of the castle
Anthony’s place is nothing short of perfect. The location is amazingly central for places like Lake Willoughby, Hill farmstead, Parker pie, and other incredible NEK gems. I unfortunately only stayed one night and arrived around 5PM. Anthony was very accommodating and was there if any questions were to rise. The directions are easy to follow and the place was easy to find even at dusk. The road up is as advertised - though I think anyone with an 4WD/AWD SUV can make it to the top. The drive up took just under 3 minutes at a slow pace, so I would imagine the hike to be a bit more - steep in some sections but nothing challenging (baseball/softball sized gravel 2 track. Zero service from the road you enter on, but great service (Verizon) when at the top. Cameras will never do justice for the views, it’s absolutely worth the haul up. Stand on the big rock and be king of the NEK. It’s one of the first hipcamps I’ve immediately starting my next trip too - see for yourself.
