Entrance is right on HWY 89, tucked up under towering ponderosa pines, Whispering Pines Properties presents a luxurious step back in time. Original Ranch house (Barrick's cabin) was built in 1960 by Tom Haycock. Whispering Pines/ A Modern Pioneer Glamp is located 35 min away from both Zion and Bryce Canyon. Whether your Family is looking for the adventure of Zion National Park or the beauty of Bryce Canyon, you'll need a place to relax at the end of the day. Whispering Pines is easily accessed off 89, but built away from the beaten path, surrounded by some of Utah's most breathtaking scenery. Hiking, biking, and skiing are all within minutes of our convenient location. This beautiful ranch house sits on 250 of the most breath taking acres. Yes, you came to visit the parks, but you will find your fondest memories coming from our property. Each wagon is oversized ( 24' x 12' ).  1 king bed and 1 or 2 bunk beds with its own private bathroom in the nearby bath house.   New BBQ grill, picnic table, fire pit and hammock swings. Air conditioning and heat. Washer and Dryer.  Large grassy lawn and waterfalls add to this beautiful canyon. (Fun History) 2016, Dr. Robert Barrick and Family of 6 kids left their 6000 sqft home on the golf course in Cedar City, and moved into this cabin while they renovated and added on rooms during the summer of 2016. At the time, it only had one bedroom and a loft. With a record breaking winter (Ave of 5 ft of snow) the Barricks grew close as a family and learned how to do hard things.  From their generator shed burning down leaving them with little power for over a month, to their daughter being harassed by a bear and courageously chasing it off the mountain. The Barricks had a year to remember. (Don't let the bear story scare you off. We haven't seen a bear in the canyon for 15 yrs. And it was miles from the cabin.)   As you sit and watch the deer peacefully graze out into the meadow, you can hear the wind whisper through the pines. Listen closely and you will hear Ol' Tom Haycock welcoming you to his cherished valley.

This place was awesome - besides the wonderful and clean amenities (coffee maker in the wagon! Yes, please!) it was the welcoming and kind atmosphere very present at the campground. Christy and her family were welcoming, allowing us to borrow anything we needed, the kids playing together. The was a genuinely amazing place. (Plus, you get to sleep in a comfy bed in a wagon. My kids thought that was the coolest!)

Exceeded Expectations!
Rob and Christy (and their beautiful children) were excellent hosts. Their hipcamp site is beyond beautiful! The wagons are so comfy and cute! There are many wonderful hikes and sites to see within a short drive. But, you can even just stay at their place and have a wonderful time!

STAY HERE...Truly AMAZING!!!
WOW! Just got back from my amazing stay. My family and I stayed for four days at Whispering Pines and to say that it exceeded my expectations is an understatement. This place is by far one of the best glamping experiences of my life. Resort is unique, hosts are wonderful and friendly. Site had unlimited firewood, water in the wagons, fridge, microwave, heated blankets and soft comfy beds. Also had your own private bathroom and a washer and dryer if you needed it. Lots of kid friendly things to do including a fun tractor zip line that my son loved. I was truly sad to leave my stay. Perfect location between Zion and Bryce, my family used this as a hub and saw many a wonderful things that Utah has to offer. I hope to go back soon. LOVED IT!!!!

Live your pioneer dreams in comfort
We were so happy with our stay! It was such a fun and unique experience staying in the wagon. Our kind hosts seemed to have thought of everything we needed, from heated blankets, fire tools, and a coffee/tea & fridge setup. The space was also extremely clean and well cared for, including the private bathroom. And the campsite was gorgeous! Highly recommend :)

Owner was very friendly and accomodating the wagon and bathroom were very clean. We were the last campers of the season Oct 29-Nov 1 and there was an unusal cold front that came through bringing the temperatures down to 4°. Rob made sure we were comfortable and we were up for the challenge. The heated mattresses, blankets, and propane heater warmed us plenty. The location is centrally located between Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. And the Coral Pink Sand Dunes is near by as well.

This experience was everything! My boys LOVED it (my littlest said it is the best place he has ever stayed!). It was cold at night (in the 30s) but we were toasty warm in our beds thanks to the mattress heater. The hosts were so generous and wonderful and the location is great - we hit both Zion and Bryce during our stay and it worked out great! I would HIGHLY recommend this glamping spot to all my friends!
