Canyon Cliffside Cabin is a diamond in the back country! Even though there are multiple campsites on property, this site has plenty of privacy. The hosts have built a cabin with grill, firepit and picnic table. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it! The site is located on top of a hill and you'll be guaranteed to see incredible views. Enjoy!
This cabin was a perfect little getaway for our family with two young boys. Beds and linens were very comfortable and clean. Be sure to check out water Canyon hike just up the road about a mile. Beautiful waterfalls with lots of safe space for kids to enter and play; Just be aware that the campsite road leading up to the cabin is difficult for a low-clearance vehicle.
I’ll come again when it’s warm
Beautiful area and quite remote. I wouldn’t suggest anyone with a passenger car or minivan to drive these roads. An all wheel drive should be sufficient if the mid is not too deep. The gate to the private water canyon road is discouraging as you have to get in and out of the car each time you enter or exit to open/close and lock/unlock. Not all camping areas there have a locked gate. The cabin was very nice and clean. Rustic. The amenities were not so nice and not because they were poorly planned, but because previous guests had left them in poor shape. The grill was packed with old charcoal. I emptied it into the fire pit, but did not use. I bought two bundles of wood as I entered at $5 per bundle and started a fire in the grated fire pit. Unfortunately it was gagged with glass bottles, old clothing and aluminum cans. I took the time to clean it out, but there was no place to put all the junk I removed. Sorry to Brad that I didn’t have enough waste containers with me. It was very quiet at night and had it not been for the wind I would have enjoyed a nice evening sitting around the fire. Because of the COVID19 shutdowns I was unable to restock my supplies as I wanted so I only stayed one night of the two I had booked. I did leave a bundle and a half of wood for the next tenant.
Better than we expected. Very cozy, clean, we loved the distance between every campsite, so we got the privacy we wanted. Everything was ready for us, even wood for the fireplace. The hiking trails are very close and the views are amazing. Will definitely go back!
