Landing here after a long day of travel was so relaxing! Bill welcomed me at the office and gave me the low down on pretty much everything they have to offer here...which is a lot more than I thought! Not only do they have waterfront tent AND rv sites but they also have clean bathrooms/showers, firewood, laundry facilities and a breakfast option for $6 if you want. The site is also only 30 minutes from the entry to Bryce Canyon National Park! HUGE perk since I was headed there the next day.
I was given site #6 which was right in the middle of the other tent sites, only a few other campers were around so it was nice and quiet. After I set up my tent I just sat listening to the sound of the river and watched the incredible views around me. There were multiple storms happening all around, it was quite a sight. I did attempt to get a fire going but it was quite windy. Oh well, next time!
The campground is close to Bryce Canyon. The campsite area is quiet, surrounded a stream. There is shower with warm water and flashed toilet. The bath was a bit farther from the campsite, but it wasn't problem. Bill and his wife was kind, easy to communicate with them. They answered fast to our booking. Good place to stay and keep rest after a hiking day.
We only stayed for one night, but really enjoyed our stay! It was very convenient for campers. Each site has a spiket for water, a table, and fire pit. The sites are situated along a gentle river and have plenty of space for each campground. The showers and bathrooms were very clean and had glorious hot water and great water pressure. The only downside is that the site is right next to a busy road so you hear cars. However, it’s not too noticeable. Would stay here again!
The site was clean and the facilities were very nice. The mosquitoes however were unbearable. During registration, they nicely moved us to the RV parking area as it was farther from the river and would have less mosquitoes. I have never in my life experienced swarms of mosquitoes this bad. I must have been outside for a total of 30 mins and I have about 30 bites. Bug spray did not work and we had to stay in our tent the entire time to avoid them.
The hostess, Mrs. J, was great! We arrived later in the evening for a tent site next to the river and she was nothing but helpful. We got our tent set up in a great spot super close to the river and were able to make supper at the picnic table. There was a fire ring and a grill but we didnt have firewood. They do have wood available for purchase at the registration office, we were just too tired. The bathroom and showerhouse provided was very clean and the water was hot. The only negative we found was the amount of road noise from being so close to the highway. Thanks for a great place to stay!
Nicole, the campground host was very kind and helpful! The bathrooms we're very nice and clean. My issue is the lack of privacy to the campsite and lack of trees. But it is a part of Utah that is kinda deviod of trees... Other issue was people in RVs with loud music all hours of the night. The hosts addressed the issue the next morning, but it was still annoying. Will not be tent camping at any more rv parks!!!
