TAKE A SCREEN SHOT of the written directions here, (scroll past to the bottom of your confirmation page). YOU WILL LOSE SERVICE ON YOUR WAY. ABOUT OUR CAMPGROUND and LOCATION: The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park visitors center is only 1.5 miles away.  We are 1.5 HOURS from ARCHES and approximately 2 HOURS from ISLAND IN THE SKY.  You do not need 4wd to get to our place. There is a bathhouse with warm showers and flush toilets.  There are several hiking trails in the area as well as bicycling & 4 wheel drive trails on BLM (public land). This IS the Wild, Rustic, Dirty Desert, not for Everyone.  This is Camping and keep in mind this is a rugged camping experience not for the faint at heart. The desert is Hot in the summer and cold in the winter, the weather is Unpredictable and you May experience our Wild storms...Monsoon season runs from July-August which is amazing if you are into photography. Be sure to bring proper gear for the rain (if we get any). You may hear coyotes, see spiders, experience the annoying desert gnats at certain times of the day during the hotter summer season. You will want to bring bug spray, but if you forgot we do sell it in our camp store. If you stay with us you will get the experience of desert camping, wild, raw and rugged. It is an amazing experience to be had, with beautiful views and the feeling of freedom that is hard to find in more civilized and populated locations. The rocks nearby are kid friendly, great for climbing and taking amazing photos of our fantastic views and gorgeous sunsets. SITE SPECIFIC: This tent is equipped with a queen bed, bedding, a cowboy camp stove which is wonderful for cooking, picnic table, and solar lighting inside and out.  Hipcamp messages are the best way to reach us.  We are off the grid with poor cell phone reception.  We are not often reachable by phone.  Messages are usually returned within 12 hours, however, during open hours you may not get an immediate response. BATHHOUSE : There is a Bathhouse with Showers and Flush Toilets. Showers are with a Token and must be purchased during store hours. The bathhouse is shared with other campers and gets dirty. We are surrounded by red dirt. Toilets get clogged, it happens in any public bathroom. It is cleaned everyday. The bathhouse is under renovation.

Amber and Caleb out did themselves with this stunning cozy bell tent. It exceded our expectations.
The bed was one of the comfiest beds ive ever slept in, espeically camping in the desert. The ambiance was pleasant, and the campsite comfortable with the useful firepit. This site is very close to the bathhouse, which is convenient, and the showers have good hot water.
10/10 would stay here again and I recommend a good stay here!!!

5 stars! I loved this location! It was private, had everything we needed and more, and you cannot beat the couch facing the beautiful desert views (sunset was awesome!). Easy to get to (it’s the last stop before the needles visitor center, you can’t miss it). It’s close to the needles so you can explore all day with a short drive to camp. Showers/bathroom right next to the campsite. Super comfy bed too...And it’s on the edge of a campground so you still feel secluded. By far the best place I stayed on my 2 week trip!

We loved staying at needles outpost. Our yurt was so cozy and reall comfortble. It was nice to sleep in a real bed and have room to move around after nights spent in a tent.

Make sure to pack in all of your water, food and cookibg supplies. Come with a plan dont just wing it. There are no stores nearby and the outpost shop they have at the campground is pretty limited and more pricey than picking up supplies in moab.

Cant beat the proximity to canyonlands.. its a 5 min drive to the visitor center. Plan to stay for at least 2-3 days... there is a lot to see in this section of the park!

Thank you for your response. It is more pricey for the convenience of having things guests may have forgotten. We go a long ways to keep our store stocked fun of any necessities as well as gifts & souvenirs. We have added cooking equipment for our guests convenience so you don't need to bring a thing if you don't have the space or don't want to be bothered. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us.

This is a FANTASTIC site! The hosts (Amber & staff) were polite and accommodating. Amber checked on us herself once we got set up. The tent is great, has charming and functional furniture and solar lights. The campsite has a fire pit, a table, and an outdoor couch facing the gorgeous sunset. The common areas include a store carrying most things you may have forgotten and a bathhouse which is a bit run down but completely functional and safe - both are a 1 minute walk. The only downside is the proximity to the next site is quite close (20 feet). HIGHLY RECOMMEND for the quality, cost, and location. A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!

Great location with close proximity to Canyonlands National Park entrance. Great hiking trails nearby, not to mention the backdrop of rocks right near the tent that you can climb on to watch the sunset! Very comfortable, clean, and private (although we were lucky that the site next to us was unoccupied). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

LOVED this place. I had never been to Moab before and a friend recommended The Needles Outpost and I only wish I had more time there. Such a special experience, you feel off the grid and away from the crowds, yet set up with anything you could need. Amber is such a kind and welcoming person and I can't wait to go back and spend more time there. Highly recommend!

Amber was awesome and the place is beautiful. Tucked in right next to the national park, the tent was really cool and the sites so well taken care of. Amber met us and explained everything even though they were technically cold and they left us everything we needed for a comfortable experience. I just wish we could have stayed more than one night, but we were just passing through. A+ all around.
