*****You must have a working toilet system to stay here!

Good news, Arches and CanyonLands National Parks are open! And we have lots of area information to share with you after 20+ years of experience here; some of it as a professional guides.

(Please note that we are in good health and in a town with no known cases of COVID-19. We are sanitizing surfaces, such as water spigots, between campers. We require that everyone in the party requesting a booking to not be presenting COVID-19 symptoms.)

The Adventure Haven is basically a five site mini-RV park located in an old and sparsely occupied subdivision of 1.5 acre lots in a small Utah ranching town with a population of about 300.  We are at the foothills of the La Sal Mountains and the park has a completely unobstructed view of this range. All sites have water, sewer, free WiFi, and 30 amp electric service (two have 50amp).  We also have two spacious fire rings with a view to the mountain. Our new park is clean and open with a solid road base surface. Sites can accommodate 40 foot plus units, but all require some backing.

Note: Only mellow, quiet, and controlled pets are allowed here, and only two per site. Pets must be on a leash and owners must pick up after them. Please tell us about your pet in the booking request.

Note: You must have a working toilet system to stay here.

Please consider that this place may not be suitable for all children. The perimeter is well marked, but is not child proof and there are hazards, such as an irrigation ditch, beyond it. Please include the age of your children when requesting a booking. Thanks!

The La Sal vibe: as in any rural community, old junk is seen as valuable assets, and "curb appeal" is not in the local vocabulary (actually we don't have curbs or street lights here, and half the town has dirt roads). But it is peaceful here, a refreshing get away. We have some of the darkest skies anywhere, and hours can go by with no traffic at all, but make no mistake, this is funky, rural Utah.

We have built a tall privacy fence so you don't have to look at our treasure. Looking north, east and west, the Adventure Haven feels fairly secluded: houses are mostly obscured or out of sight in these directions. A row of large aspen trees is along one side of the camp with our neighbour obscured, but not far away. Funky, old house trailers are visible to the south (just across the street), but camps face North with unobstructed views to the mountain. We are on the very northwest edge of this old community.

This is not a place for a late night party, but is good for normal gatherings.

People in general find it to be quite nice as well as a good value.

The Needles district of Canyonlands is about 1 hour from Camp; Moab and Arches National Park are only 35 minutes away, and there are exciting features to explore right in our neighborhood.

• Looking Glass Arch, Lopez Arch and Wilson Arch are all about 15 minutes away!

• The world-famous motorcycle route, Colorado 90, begins just 12 miles away, with fine scenery starting right away.

• Hook and Ladder OHV Trail system is less that five miles from the Adventure Haven, the dirt starting in only 2.

• Forest Service access to the La Sal Mountains is less than 7 miles away for an escape into alpine coolness, with fishing at Medicine Lake 15 miles from here.

James and Linda were amazing hosts to us during our stay. From the start of our trip, James made sure to give us thorough directions to the site and equipped us with a great list of hikes for nearby Arches and Canyonlands.

The RV hookups are brand new, the site is well-leveled, and our RV had spectacular views of the mountains. We were impressed with how quiet the area was, and appreciated the hospitality that James and Linda showed to us from everything ranging from helping us setup a campfire (and lending us extra firewood) to making sure our hoses were kept safe during the freezing temperatures.

We've been to many RV campgrounds and sites during our cross-country roadtrip, but no one has matched the kindness and care that James gave to us, and we can't wait to return!

James and Linda were incredibly nice--I showed up with a tent when this is primarily an RV site, and since i was the only one there they offered to let me stay in their RV instead.

James was a great host, we needed a place to stay on our drive through Moab and he was very accommodating. We had a tent and he allowed us to set up on his site that was very well maintained! The surrounding area was super peaceful and calm. Loved it!

James and Linda were wonderful hosts and had a fabulous spot for any RV campers. It was not the most ideal location for tent camping but they still made us feel welcome. Thank you!

James and Linda were excellent hosts. I arrived with only my truck and tent. They set up a shower tent for us, and provided us tips for places to visit during our stay. I highly recommend anyone in the area to stay at this campsite.

Good stop for 2 nights. Welcoming host and away from everything. 5 minutes drive from a giant field to make my dogs run. 25 minutes from Moab and grocery stores.

Great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Moab, but close enough access everything you would want to see. James and Linda were super friendly, informative, and helped make our stay great! I would 100% recommend staying here for a great base camp to explore the area!
