About Second Star to the Right
After enjoying the beauty of the "Big 3" (Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon), a day trout fishing or boating on Lake Powell, simply to get away in the forest for a few days or to learn about and actually "see" off grid life at it's finest... Come setup your tent on "Second Star" and enjoy living the way God meant it to be..
Our secluded wooded canyon mountainside offers a serene and peaceful setting under a canopy of Ponderosa Pine, Juniper and Western Red Cedar. Watch the areas wildlife come alive within yards of your tent!!!
Find a place to take in the majestic red stone cliffs and limestone outcroppings that encircle "Second Star", watch the clouds drift into a breathe taking sunset as a summer monsoon drifts through or find a peaceful spot for meditation or gaining self awareness and clarity without the troubles/interference of the world...
Second Star is destined to becoming a fully self contained and fully operational "off grid" cooperative community including a pristine well, solar and wind generated power, aquaponic greenhouses and organic gardens, a naturopathic apothecary, agricultural trout habitat, range cattle, pork and chickens (both egg laying and meat birds) and Earth friendly "Yurt" housing accommodations.
The infancy of our project allows for tent camping only at this time with minimal facilities, but we have future plans for both furnished and unfurnished "yurt" accommodations, restroom and shower facilities as well as authentic Mexican food meal service housed within a "Great Yurt" of it's own.

If you're looking to get away and commune with nature, this is the place! Second Star to the Right is in a prime location near Zion National Park without all of the crowds! As we sat eating our mac and cheese dinner, we heard a rustling. Our campsite was in a deer path and we had new deer friends all night! Jim is the best. Chat with him about natural health and you will get a wealth of information. He has big plans for the area so stay tuned!
