Dana and Bill were amazing hosts! The glamper is nice and spacious, but they offered me their spare bedroom since it was colder than usual when I visited. Ask them for recommendations of places to check out - they have a wealth of knowledge about the less well-known (thus less crowded!) places to visit in southeast Utah.
I wasn't sure about staying 45 min away from the main entrance to Zion, but I'm actually really glad I did. The Kolob entrance to the park is just beautiful and provided me the opportunity it to be around people when I wanted, and have some solitude as well.
Dana and Bill were super awesome hosts. Lots of good recommendations. Very welcoming and accommodating. Extremely friendly. I wish I had stayed longer!
As far as location, only a 45m drive to Zion gate.
The Jolly Green Glamper was quite the special stay! Dana was so gracious and kind- making me and my pup feel right at home. The glamper was private and simple- with touches of home all around. Dana opened her house to me, as well as the yard and other unique additions to their property. Will always keep Dana in mind next time I'm in the area- location is very close to Zion and in my opinion a better experience when visiting the park.
This retro green 1980's Camper was so cool to sleep in with a great view and very clean! Dana and Bill are simply incredible hosts. They made my friend and I feel completely at home and welcomed. We stayed three nights in total (one in the glamper and two in the red hens garden) and within that time I felt as if I was part of a new family. The property is beautiful and clean, and super fun and unique, also the beds are very comfortable. The fire pit outside is a great addition to hangout with the other campers in the midst of a awesome back yard with lights and a old painted school bus. I had a great time making smores and playing the guitar around the fire with new friends. Dana and Bill were super friendly they gave us thorough instructions for a beautiful hike on the less crowded side of Zion, and offered us fresh eggs in the morning from their lovely hens. I loved my stay and I am super grateful for everything we learned from Bill and Dana, I already miss it there! I would stay again in a heart beat, this place is the bomb!
My friend and I were doing a mini road trip; we hit Joshua Tree, the Grand Canyon, and saw beautiful Zion. Dana and Bills place was the most welcoming and beautiful place we stayed on our trip (and might I add one of the best experiences I have had in general!). We stayed two nights in their charming cottage, and one night in the amazing Green Glamper, which looks straight out of an 70s movie. LOVE! Their property is about a thirty minute drive to Zion/ Springdale, and is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. They also have the cutest vegetable garden and chicken coop. Dana made us eggs in the morning, fresh and delicious. I honestly felt at home the moment I walked in there. Thank you so much Dana and Bill, we miss you already!!
Dana is a SUPER host!! It feels like a home away from home! Such a beautiful home and land, we were sad to leave!
The glamper was comfortable, private, spacious and comfortable! There was a full kitchen and bathroom inside of the cool AC house that there is access to.
I recommend staying if you want to go play in Zion, only 40 min away from the entrance and having a nice loving home to come back to after a long days hike was perfect!
Stay at Casa Tara! It will forever be in our hearts!
Hope you come stay again!!
