This is the perfect basecamp for any of your southwestern Utah adventures. The hosts are fantastic! They made us dinner, let us have as many eggs as we could eat, gave some great suggestions for activities in the area, and overall just made us feel so welcome and at home. Also very dog friendly :) Highly recommend!

It's an idyllic location.Making breakfast in the morningWe slept like babies! The camper is surprisingly spacious. The greenhouse

Thanks for this wonderful review, Maddy. We enjoyed hosting you and your friends and of course Ray, your cheerful dog. I'm so glad you got to come to our neck of the woods and see some of the amazing sights that abound in this corner of Utah. There's a million more fun things to do so we hope you come back soon and explore some of the trails, maybe go to the Shakespearean Festival, or just hang out around the fire and roast some smores.

This place was truly magical, My husband, dog and i made a trip up to Utah to explore Zion and the surrounding area this May (beautiful time to travel, weather was perfect and everything was still green). This place was exactly what we wanted, just far enough out of town to see all the stars and enjoy the peaceful country but just a short drive to Zion. It felt like a home away from home, Dana and Bill were most welcoming and had all the amenities you could need, hot shower, coffee, gas stove, fire pit, more fresh eggs then you could eat and insightful advice on the area. It was a beautiful garden and very dog friendly if they are off leash trained, The whole experience was one of my favorites, you will not be disappointed staying here. We will most defiantly be back. Thanks again for everything!

Sometimes you meet folks you wish you had right in your own family. We definitely fell in love with you and Saad and of course Stella. I really hope we see you again someday, either in LA or here. Bring your family and friends. I'm sure if they're as wonderful as you two that it would be the best gathering ever.

We were coming into the Hurricane, UT area on a road trip to see Zion, but with some unexpected rain had to switch our camping plans just a few hours before getting into town. Dana was wonderful with the short notice, and made us feel right at home. She even made us oven s'mores! The camper trailer we stayed in was perfect with everything we needed for the night. Plus, their property is absolutely beautiful, complete with an old bus library and a chicken coop. It's too bad we only had one short night there, this would have been a great spot to stay for longer. Highly recommend!

Response from Dana, the Host, on May 6th, 2018

Thanks for this generous review, Nolan. I'm so glad we could host you on a drizzly cool night. Oven smores are one of the skills I learned as a kid when we were in Oregon where it was often too damp and cold to make a fire outside but still wanted all the gooey warmth of a roasted marshmallow. I hope you get to come back someday. Red Hen Gardens will be here for you when you have time to come play in our wonderful back yard or go explore the stunning red rock country. There's also the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City or any number of cultural activities to entertain you and your family. We look forward to seeing you again someday.

This camper was an excellent place to stay. Dana offered us eggs from her chickens and veggies from her greenhouse, as well as many other accommodations. The camper beds are comfortable and a perfect temperature during our say in May.

Dana and Bill were amazing hosts! They were very welcoming upon our arrival, giving us a tour of their magical property! Dana was very generous and made sure we had everything we needed and more. She gave us eggs and fresh herbs from the garden, as well as a piece of artwork to commemorate our stay. We highly recommend staying at Dana and Bill's as they were the best hosts we have had on Hipcamp or Airbnb. We will definitely return in the future!

We had a wonderful 3-day-stay with Dana and Bill. The trailer is cute and comfy, and has all that you can wish for. The garden and surroundings are gorgeous. The company is excellent, and the dog is so sweet. It was an easy trip to Zion and back to hike the Narrows and Angels Landing. And it's walking distance to another hike. Highly recommended!!

Lotte and Gert are amazing guests and were so easy to accommodate. We enjoyed getting to know them and hope to visit them in Amsterdam someday. It is so amazing to meet really unique and dynamic people who have so much to offer the world. Lotte's cook book for climbers is fabulous and her graphic design is stellar. Thanks for the wonderful review. I feel lucky to have had you at our home.

Dana and Billy were the sweetest pair ever! They are super welcoming, kind, and share their space + food from the garden with their guests. It was a beautiful property- as pictured. I would recommend this place for fellow adventurers and first-timers! Felt right at home and would return again!

Thank you Dana and Billy!

New Harmony is a nice little village that enables you to relax just outside of the more touristic destinations in the south west of Utah. Dana is one of the most hospital, fun and relax hosts we've ever had! We were taken care of very well and had a great stay (incl. fresh eggs every morning). We can definitely recommend staying here!
