Site 3 - High Sage Hogans
Wonderful!
Staying at Danny's hipcamp listing was a great way to escape from the crowds while enjoying stunning views of La Sal mountains. Danny was helpful, accommodating, and responsive. Moreover, he shared local recommendations that most tourist will are unaware of in Canyonlands NP and Moab.

Must camping location
The experience is like no other and Danny is the best host. He met me when I showed up to camp. Gave me so many hiking spots I definitely have to come back to finish them. The tee-pee was incredible and totally worth it. An unexpected wind storm came through that weekend and if I was tent camping it would have been miserable. Danny even set up a bed with extra blankets which was a nice surprise.
His dog Ringo is the best and incredibly sweet. Always down for pets and was a great play mate with my pup.
Highly recommend this location. The 30 min drive from Moab is easy and very beautiful.

A Unique Opportunity
We really enjoyed our stay on Danny's land. The larger tipi was just right for our family of 5 and we were pleasantly surprised at cots and sleeping bags available for us. My kids especially loved meeting the animals and helping feed the alpaca. (Note to self - La Sal is 2,500 ft higher in elevation than Moab, so don't expect the weather to be the same!) The port-a-potty was probably one of the cleanest I've ever used, and the communal kitchen worked out well for us. Absolutely would stay here again.

Amazing, beautiful experience
Loved Danny's hospitality! Very accommodating. Loved meeting his dog, Ringo, his alpaca and sheep. Beautiful location with a fantastic view of the La Sal mountains. Stars were incredible at night, sunrises were glorious!
