Genny and Shane made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Shane gave us a tour of the farm. My daughter loved the three day old alpaca and Shane told us that one of the goats was going to have babies that night! My daughter jumped out of bed to check on the mama goat but no babies before we left. They have a small store and we bought jam, honey and salsa from them all made by small local producers. The views of the valley below and the hospitality of our hosts make this camp a special place. We would love to come back.

This place exceeded my expectations, the views were phenomenal. The owners are super friendly and big about their local products. I’m now stocked up on salsa chips and sanitizer. My time at the campsite was a wonderful way to rest and reset during a road trip.

Staying at the Alpaca Rescue was absolutely magical. The animals, the beautiful landscape and the peace and quiet was much needed. Our daughter was able to feed some of the goats and loved seeing the horse, chickens and alpacas! The host, Genny and her husband Shane were very welcoming and shared their passion for rescuing all kinds of animals and for all of the local, handmade goods that we were able to purchase. Each item had a story and my husband and I love supporting small businesses. We wished we could have stayed here a bit longer and would highly recommend it!

The campsite had a nice clean picnic bench and it was a quiet place to sleep. Our host was so inviting and even gave us a tour of the animals.

Genny and Shayne were so accommodating, giving us a tour of the farm and allowing us to feed and treat the animals. We even got to pet goats. They even allowed me to help in building their green house and getting the property ready for the storm headed in tomorrow. We are going to stay there again for sure. They have a great plan for their property and looking forward to seeing their progress. The stars were amazing at night, it is so dark there you can see them so well. Their property is amazing and the mountain views are stunning.
