If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
The campsite was much smaller than advertised and the person checking us in had no idea who we were. The host was not willing to call me when I asked for clarification on the directions.
We loved staying here! Christoph is so helpful and a great host. We loved waking up to the horses all around. The bathroom with a shower was awesome in the horse barn! We also had a place to wash dishes and a picnic table to make breakfast. Our tent spot was great under some trees. The view was beautiful as well! Thanks so much!
We arrived on our scheduled day and contacted the host, who was not home, only to find that he had the wrong dates for us. Once we confirmed that we were supposed to be there on those days, the host explained to us where everything was. He was quite friendly and welcoming. However, we were tent camping and the proximity to so many horses made for a lot of flies. The shower was amazing, as it was a hot or cold water shower and a full bathroom. However, there were a lot of flies again due to the abundance of horses.
Overall, not a bad stay, just not what we expected.
Christoph was a great host. This is just a horse ranch with a couple of private camp sites on it. There is a wash room with toilet and shower - a regular bathroom in the horse facility about 30 yds away. Quiet and great spot. We were there for just 2 nights. We had no worries about security.
Christoph and Mark were very gracious as hosts, thanks for letting the kids ride the horses!
We were in site 2, which was more than big enough for our large tent, although there is a slight slope so you have to work around that. The large tree gave some shade during the day.
The ground is sand and prickles, our little kids complained a little but not too much. They loved the cats and the horses, we didnt like the flies but we knew they would be there so we just dealt with it.
Its a working ranch, so the bathroom is not all clean (what with the sand and all) but this didn't bother us, we camp with kids so are used to things being a bit rough.
All in all a good spot for us to camp, we were there for 10 days
Christophe was great. Met us at the site and walked thru the ameneties. Kids loved the horses and the cats. Hooked up our RV to power and had a wonderful dinner outside with great views and tons of privacy
Great place to stay!
Amazing location near the mountains, remote, nice and quiet, away from the standard RV campsites. Our boys (9 and 11) loved helping feeding the horses and playing with the dogs and cats.
