Great sites (numerous). Great facilities and great location. Take note that if you are headed to Maple Dell, the gps pin marks the beginning of the canyon. You must continue up the road 15-20 minutes. Gate will be on the right. It is an active camp so be prepared for the hustle and bustle activities in near vicinity, in many way it enhances the charm. Highly recommend this site and will return.

Site was nice and big plenty of space. Bathrooms and showers had hot water and were good for a camp site. The host was great and super nice. Only issues I saw were that some of the sites were overgrown with grass/weeds and needed to be cleaned up a bit. Also no use of the lake or activities, that would of made it excellent if we could of used the lake or ropes course etc. there was plenty of safe which was a plus.

I stayed here with my boys last year (2019) before the camp switched to a new council. It was half the price last year and a completely different experience. One thing that needs to be pointed out is that the "host" of the camp page is NOT the "host" at the camp. I'm acquainted with the hosts at the camp and they are wonderful people who have been running Maple Dell since 1993. That said, Utah Scouts (or the "council") have grossly overbooked this camp and seem to have put a lot of strain on the actual live-in hosts.

If you're booking this in the hopes that you'll have a quiet camping trip with your family, think again. We had a scout troop of roughly 30 boys right NEXT to us, running through our camp, in between our tents, and hooting and hollering very late into the night. I get that this is first and foremost a scout camp, but if the council is going to try their hand at making money from families they really need to either split the camp into a family section and a scout section, or don't book families and scouts on the same nights. Maple Dell is a fantastic place, and it can be fantastic for families and scouts...just not together.
