If you enjoy a primative style of camp this is a great place. If you looking for nicer amenities you may want to consider a different campsite.

The site Brian recommended, Turtle Bay, was wonderful. The lake view was perfect and the sunset was spectacular. And as a complete surprise to us where we pulled the trailer on was perfectly level. We didn't use the showers or toilets so we can't comment on that. The only con was the mosquitos but expected that close to the water.

The campground is in need of some serious maintenance/upkeep. Peeling paint and rotting boards abound, as do unkept weeds, grass, and plants. You can tell it was (is?) a Boy Scout camp, but it looks like nobody has cared for it in years. Toilets were primitive, but it was better than digging a hole in the woods. Not much natural shade, but the A-frame structures over the picnic table worked well in the afternoon sun.

However, the location is amazing. We slept feet from the water on the southeastern shore of Bear Lake!

The sites were spacious and well-kept with great A-frame shades in each camp. Toilet facilities showers and water were easily accessible. This is probably one of the best campsites on the lake with the size of the campsites you can easily fit 10 people. The views were fantastic the beach itself is a little bit rocky so plan on wearing sandals or water shoes if you’re going in.
The camp hosts were very responsive and went out of their way to help us

We had the wrong address, so we showed up to there other location (26 min away from actual campsite). But the hosts we're super nice, and we finally made it there. The campsite was beautiful, and right on the water. We went on a weekday and it was SO quiet. We camped at #7, it's right by the bathrooms which was very convenient, and NOT smelly! Thanks Ben and Brain!

Evening view. Not a lot of mosquitos surprisingly, just big moths and spiders.Campsite #7, a lot of space from neighborsRestrooms not too smelly. Drop tiolets, with hand washing stationSo dark and quiet at night
