Description

Dotted with aspens and ponderosa pines, and winding along a gentle sloping hillside, is the calm and invigorating Skull Creek Campground. Partial shade and large, widely spaced campsites provide good privacy. If you’re looking for trail rides, a kid’s fish pond, or float tube rentals, be sure to visit the Red Canyon Lodge nearby—and, the Visitor Center offers a short interpretive walk along the Red Canyon rim, along which you can gawk at its magnificent views. The building itself is a lot of fun, providing an interesting architectural design in which the roof is suspended on its own and not dependant on the walls of the structure.
