Beautiful with unclear directions
We arrived late into the night. The directions given by the host were not clear enough to figure out if we were in the right place and there was no visible signage to signal where to camp. We ended up stopping somewhere and decided to camp where we were. In the morning the views were beautiful and we were the only ones around. So the area is beautiful but we aren’t sure if we actually camped at the property.

Good times! Note that this camp is Very Remote. Don't go out in country like this unless you know a few things like how to change/plug a tire...get unstuck by yourself..etc. if you leave a light on and your battery dies it's a 10 mile walk to a remote highway with no cell service. It can be very windy. If you try to drive to the lake itself you'll likely get stuck. Stick to the directions. After pulling off hwy 30 at mile marker 25 you will cross a cattle guard after crossing a small parking lot heading east. It's then 2.8 miles to the next cattle guard where you head south/southeast (hard right after guard) and then 5 miles to the next intersection. This road is pretty good but there are a few washes that can cause issues if you bring a trailer....solveable issues...we dug out a couple of them to pass...like 10 minutes of work. At the intersection I decided to drop the trailer. There was an awesome washing machine campfire there and we went the next 4 miles with the 4 wheel drive truck and an ATV. We got to the camp spot ok (early April).... going beyond that got really iffy. The salt flats when muddy even slightly stick to your tires and you don't have traction. High water table. We saw no humans at all once we left the highway and it was the first weekend of spring break. It's so quiet. Stars galore! Turn off ALL your lights for 40 minutes or so to acclimate and you'll be amazed at what can be seen with the naked eye.

I really enjoyed my stay out here. It was definitely private, with that being said, make sure to come prepared with firewood, gas in your vehicle, and water. The closest town is roughly 40 miles away and it's very small. The sunset and stars from out here were beautiful. I will most definitely be staying here again.

AquaTerrace was awesome! We went on a full moon and it lit up the desert, such a cool experience. Definitely read through the directions multiple times before heading out as you lose service and make sure you have enough gas and supplies! Would definitely recommend to someone looking to camp away from everything!

Gorgeous camp spot
Bryan was fantastic we had a little challenge finding the spot but he was available to assist us. Somehow our truck battery ended up dying and he even gave us a jump we were so lucky to have him there. Now about the site. It is gorgeous literally no one out there. So peaceful and relaxing! The stars were amazing! I am a mountain girl but sometimes it gets crowded. This spot is for those that truly are looking for a quiet alone get away. We'll definitely be back!
