This campground really has everything you need! Showers, electric and water hook ups, fire pits, picnic benches, wifi and even a bar that's open on weekends and club house with events like bingo night!! There's also a communal grill to make your dinner and even a covered patio with lots of seating to eat in the shade during a sunny day in the desert.
One of my favorite parts about this campground is that it's super close to the entrance into Joshua Tree NP and walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants in town.
Wayne was such a great camp host and he's always available to make sure you have everything you need. Super friendly staff as well that'll make you feel right at home.
We really had a great stay while we were here, and I look forward to coming back again soon!
A perfect place to come spend the weekend with a big group of friends. Lots of space for cars and great campgrounds to set up a tents or park your camper. Two flushable toilets, sinks with running water, a kitchen area and a shaded area with tables and chairs make this place feel
nicely set up with not having to do any of the work.
If you're in the Los Angeles area this is the perfect place to satisfy your Joshua Tree craving while not having to travel as far as Joshua Tree National Park. The land scape is really beautiful surrounded by the Angeles Forest mountains in the distance. Also a plus that Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park isn't too far from the campsite.
The Creekside Casita is a dreamy getaway that comes with everything you'll need. Nestled right in the middle of wineries and Morro Bay, the Creekside Casita is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day of wine tasting or a day at the beautiful beach of Morro Bay. Everything is thoughtfully put together, with a fully stocked kitchen filled with everything you'll need, a sink with running water, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster oven and a little mini fridge, there's also outdoor charcoal bbq and propane stove to do your cooking on. There's an outdoor shower that you'll want to use even just for a rinse off just to enjoy showering outdoors and there's a very well lit path to a brand new port-a-potty with a sink inside to wash your hands. The Casita also has a couple outdoor tables and chairs and a nice outdoor fire place, the perfect place to end your night. You'll fall in love with all the animals, goats, chickens, the sweetest kitty cat and a very calm pup Shiloh, that more likely than not will come down to visit with you once or twice. While we were there we took the time to unwind and crack open our books we haven't had the time to read yet, played some cards (found in the Casita) and took an early evening walk on the little hiking trail that was in the making. In the morning we were greeted with fresh eggs the chickens laid the day before for our breakfast. It's amazing how delicious those eggs were! Our camp hosts even sent us on our way with a few extra. Such incredible hospitality here at the Creekside Casita near the Ocean. You'll feel more than comfortable here!
You couldn't asked for a better weekend than the one spent here in the Large Tipi at Camp Temenõs. This place has everything you need. The location is a dream right near Pappy + Harriet's, the National Park and the down town area. The tipi is fully equipped for everything four people could need, with running water, electricity, wifi and a fully stocked kitchen. There's also a communal out door kitchen with a BBQ that we used to grill up dinner. Full bathroom with a shower filled with local handmade toiletries and a beautiful out door shower as well. Not to mention a personal camp fire set up for each site. I can't say enough how warm, welcoming and how comfortable Karen and Chris have made our stay here at Camp Temenõs. The four of us had the best time just hanging out by the fire, talking and making food together and we can't wait to come back!
If you're looking for a cozy place to stay while travelin' along old Route 66 this is your spot. Just minutes away from down town Gallup this Yellow Hogan is a great place to stay the night. We enjoyed using the wood-burning stove to warm up the place and the large cooking surface to make our meals. It was a perfect wind down from a long day of driving and exploring. The Yellow Hogan is surrounded by such a beautiful landscape and has two of the friendliest dogs you'll ever meet. Not to mention a very welcoming host (who is very worry free to communicate with) to make you feel right at home.
Copper Mountain Ranch is great place a gather up a group of friends and romp out to the desert. Situated just north of the 'Indian Cove' entrance of Joshua Tree NP it is the perfect center point of all the awe-inspiring things to do out in the desert. An added bonus to this camp site is that they include a complimentary bundle of wood for your first fire! Also, there are great little hiking trails surrounding the area, so if you don't feel like driving anywhere there are things to do right there at the site. To top it all off, you can go say hi to the beautiful horses on the ranch, and the friendly camp hosts make you feel welcome right from the start.
The Cowboy Cabin at Work Ranch was such a fun little place to stay! With horse back riding, hiking trails and wineries just minutes away or just a place to sit back and relax you'll be full of fun things to do. Filled with beds and accommodations you could go with a big group or just with your special someone. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans so no need to bring your whole kitchen with you which was really nice. The bathroom had a really beautiful shower with the water running hot. The staff was really friendly and helpful and of course all the horses and farm animals created such a nice environment. A perfect place to stay, go for a horse back ride and wind down and have a glass of wine and the end of the day. Perfect little get a way.
The Bunker Bay and River campgrounds at the Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve offers such a fun and unique experience. You have the option to either camp right outside of or inside of an old 1930's Navy bunker with views of the surrounding cities and the Napa River and the San Pablo Bay. Hiking the trails to the "Spirit Ship" and the Visitors Center was a really nice late afternoon activity. We also attended an art show in the other bunker that an artist had rented out for the night! Such a cool, unplanned end to our night. Also really loved falling asleep to the sound of seals on the bay in the distance. Being there on the weekend means that the Preserve is open to the public and it was nice to see a handful of people on the trails either taking photographs, out to observe wildlife or taking their dog for a walk. Something to keep in mind also is that you do need to bring in your own water supply, although you are supplied with a bathroom. Definitely a night of camping I wont forget!
Rancho Love Joy Peace is a beautiful piece of land and a prefect environment to come and hang out and camp with friends.
Fully equipped with private campsites, a creek to take a dip in on a hot day, a beautiful farm, and a communal amphitheater where movie nights are played. There are solar lights to guide you where ever you need to navigate at night ( like the compost toilet 'Throney') and fun little hiking trails up into the hills to give you a beautiful view of the grounds.
Rancho Love Joy Peace has nothing but good vibes. A place you don't feel obligated or pressured to mingle with the other campers or farmers but also a great place to meet and hang out with kindred sprits.
Definitely a great place for a much needed recharge from everyday life.
