tom was helpful and courteous, even though i showed up on a less-than-ideal night. the sites around his house were not ready so i slept on the grounds of the winery, in the farthest corner away from the weekend revelry. i felt somewhat exposed but not unsafe enough to leave. i chose this site because of its proximity to I-90 as i was finishing a mad cross country dash, and it was easy to get to and from. and i had a delicious bourbon cider at the winery!!
suzan has a lovely spot beside the river for camping. there was ample firewood set beside the fire pit, and enough room between sites that i never saw my neighbors. i chose the site because of its proximity to I-80 and woke feeling deeply restored and ready to continue my mad dash cross country.
lisa was extremely accommodating even with extenuating circumstances that held her attention. from the top of her hill i was able to watch the sun set as the almost full moon rose, and slept much longer than i'd planned. i chose the site because of its proximity to I-80 and would definitely choose it again.
