As soon as we got there, we were escorted to our campsite by the host. He was very friendly, helpful, and left us a ton of free firewood! Our campsite was right next to the tank so we had tons of wildlife to watch and listen to like birds, turtles, crawfish, cows, horses, and even coyotes at night! We brought our two dogs and they loved to swim in the shallow water of the tank and had tons of spacious, well kept grasslands to run around in freely. Not to terrible on bugs or creepy crawlies considering they keep their land so well cut and maintained. At night there were too many stars to count and we got some amazing quality star photos. There was also a nice bathroom and shower on site to use when needed. Overall I loved it and would recommend to anyone!
Stayed here in late December this past year and had an incredible time. We started at the wine tasting room with a cheese board, wine, and some great live jazz music. We met the host and he was super friendly; he even bought us some wine for my birthday! We then spent the night camping on campground 5 and it was beautiful!!! Wonderful scenery and tons of different birds to watch and listen to. The stars are one of the best parts of this place. Will be back again!
We were looking for a weekend escape from the real world and found this hidden gem!! From the best southern hospitality Host Momma J’Lynn and husband Joe had to offer to all the animals from dogs, skunks goats and raccoons you will feel like you are in another world but right at home.
700 acres and all different terrains to choose from to camp at, will make you feel one with nature. A true spot if you are looking for peace at mind and to open embrace your soundscape and let all the different noises put you to sleep under the starry sky and wake up with the sun and walk the soft sandy beach line next to the red river! Highly recommended will definitely be back for many years to come!
