Absolutely fabulous place. Kinda minor, but great fire wood, too.
For those who want guaranteed peace and quiet (which seems to be the norm), make sure they are not hosting an event that includes hordes of screaming children at the time that you plan to be there (that happened and disturbed the peace for part of our time there).
Wow, just wow. Amazing, beautiful, private site with views of the river. We went initially for one night and ended up staying 3 because it was so gorgeous. Plumas National Forest is the best. Land is close to the street but there was hardly anyone there so noise was not an issue. Barely saw a soul, it was so peaceful. The only difficult thing was finding a spot where we could level the 16 foot Airstream but that was a minor inconvenience compared to the what we got. If you want peace and quiet with privacy, this is it. The best Hipcamp to date.
The area is beautiful, great stop on your way to Yosemite. Great, little town and the site is an easy stroll to a great place to eat, Meat Market, and drink, Bourbon/tap room at The Groveland Hotel. The host was very kind, her place woody, beautiful, and peaceful. I wasn't expecting the camp sites to be so close to her home, literally across the driveway for us, so privacy might be an issue for some.
Very private. Getting there, there was a very deep dip which if you have a low clearance rig can be a bit of a problem. Nice, large, level, elevated area with peaceful views. In the more desert area of Tehachapi, no trees. There was a house with a dog that barked a lot nearby but inside our Airstream it wasn't a bother
