We were late, closing in on midnight Friday night, and I was really worried about blazing into some campground I don't know and blinding peoples with headlights and then waking them up setting up camp, so we scored a cheap hotel. Which was good, because even though the forecast only called for occasional thunderstorms it rained all night and into the next day.
So, we ended up camping in the motel. Not so much because of the weather, but because we brought our 'toy' tent, the cheap Walmart teepee. It sucks in the rain, and although it could have weathered a couple showers, no way in a constant rain.
So we stopped by on Sunday, just to check it out. It is sweet. Several campsites along the pond, beautifully situated and much more separated than I anticipated. Beautifully tended and mown grass to camp on. Sweet.
