Wendi was a great host and was very welcoming. My boyfriend and I felt very comfortable in the vintage trailer, which has a full size bed and a dining nook. The river was in the backyard and was a great place to cook breakfast and dinner. Great location for getting to the park. The home is close (about 15-20 mins) from the Sequoia NP entrance where they collect the fees; from there, the activities inside the park are about 45 mins - 1 hr. I appreciate the time Wendi put into the trailer and the areas in her home and would recommended this place to anyone looking for a place to stay.
This place was really amazing and waking up to the gibbons in the morning left me in awe. Glad we were able to walk around in the morning before the place was open to the public. This was my friend’s first camping trip and she had a great time as well! I would highly recommend staying here!
Malibu Fig Ranch was absolutely beautiful and even better than I expected. Kerry and the staff are very kind. The tent was large and cozy, and the picnic table was perfect to make my dinner on. The chairs by the fire ring were comfy to read on as well. The views at sunset and sunrise were spectacular and the veggies from the farm stand were delicious! I was able to stop by the beach and go hiking the next morning - all within a reasonable distance. I would highly recommend staying here :)
What a beautiful property! It was well maintained and had all the necessities you would need for a pleasant stay - clean bathrooms, comfy bed, soft towels, and picnic tables for your meals . The yurt was pretty warm when we arrived so we walked down the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, which was located right outside of the property! I booked site #3 (osprey) and although it looks like nothing is close by, there is a tent located right next to it. I had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to anyone.
So about 2 months later and I’ve returned again! This time there were poles in the front which made parking easier (although it was already easy before). Everything was just as I remembered and so fun! The sunset on the first night was spectacular and we went during the meteor shower so timing was perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to stay around Joshua Tree (only 30 mins away). Thanks for the great stay!
I had such a great and pleasant first Hipcamp experience at Camp Temenos. I was greeted and shown around the property when I arrived by Karen and her lovely daughter. There’s a kitchen/dining space with a fridge, sink, dishes and utensils, a table and bar stools, and both a gas and charcoal grill for you to use. There’s also a fully equipped bathroom as well. I actually brought a sleeping bag and chairs but didn’t end up using anything because everything was provided. The tipi had a cozy ‘bed’ (2 cots that were put together with heated mattress pads and heated blanket) that kept me warm in the lower 30 degree weather. There were also electric plugs, a sink, kettle and coffee, and a small lantern that provided ambient light at night. It actually snowed for a little in the morning as well and it was a great moment. My only regret was only being able to stay here for one night! I will definitely be back so I can explore around :)
