Laura is an amazing host - she was super accomodating to our last minute requests and was always accessible whenever we needed anything. Peace and Carrots Farm is quite the gem as so many of the reviews have mentioned. The Tiny House is one of a kind and so is camping here. Whether you want to relax and hang out on the farm or venture out and explore, you'll have an amazing time with Laura and Peace & Carrots
Scott and Tammy are excellent hosts! They greeted us when we arrived and even made sure we had linens for our cabin. The campsite is located in Big Basin so you're surrounded by tall redwoods. There are tons of hiking trails as well as a ton of amenities in case you ever need anything. Would come back in a heartbeat.
Layna & Issac were great hosts and we had a lot of fun. This camp is really unique and the views from the communal dining area are spectacular. Everything was built (and rebuilt) by hand so everything is one of a kind. There's tons of really cool and friendly animals as well -- from the cat, Tigre, to the guardian dog, Pacheco, to the peacocks.
Hands down would come back again and again. If you do use Google Maps, know that the entrance is past where the map tells you to turn on Highway 20. Continue down about half a mile and you'll see a giant black raven. Just follow the instructions Layna sends you and you'll be fine :)
Absolutely stunning place. The cabin is modern with all the amenities that you need. The surrounding area is quiet but has tons of animals and hiking trails. Richmond was great with communication and gave us all the info we needed. Definitely worth staying for the entire weekend if not more!
Lupin Lodge is a unique place located by Los Gatos, CA. It's a clothing optional campsite so it may not be for everyone. Its a quiet getaway from the city and you have access to a bunch of hiking trails in the area. There's wifi throughout the place and has all the amenities you'll need. There's even a heated pool which is the only area which requires nudity. Whether staying in a tent or booking one of the yurts, it's a great place to relax and meet kind, interesting people.
Frank has built an amazing campsite. Over the past decade he's slowly built a vineyard with tons of areas for campers. Felt amazing watching the sun set into the horizon and listening to the birds chirp. You can canoe down the river or walk along the railroad tracks and find cool spots. Tons of spaces for RVs with all the hookups and you can basically camp anywhere.
If you're using Google Maps continue past where it drops you off until you see a signpost with 5+ green signs. Turn left, go past the tracks and then turn left again and head all the way down to the house.
A quiet getaway off the main road. Eric was really nice and met me at the community center so I didn't get lost. There's a spot for RVs and tons of roads to explore. If you have more time, drive further into Eldorado Forest to see amazing views of trees and lakes.
This place is absolutely amazing. Christine and David are amazing hosts and have created a truly unique space. From the coffee in the morning to warm outdoor bathtubs at night, this place is exactly what you need away from the city. Hands down one of the best Hipcamps I've been to.
Zoe runs a nonprofit that rescues animals. She often does tours with inner city kids so they can experience playing with animals. The campsite is in the back and is a short walk to where all the animals are. It was so fun to play with her goats and ponies. There's no bathroom or showers but Zoe is working on it and will be something you can expect in the future. Zoe is awesome and highly recommend this place if you love animals.
Nik and Barbara have created such an awesome space. They both greeted us when we arrived before giving us a quick tour and rundown of how everything worked. GPS will basically take you 99% of the way there and Nik will send you instructions for the rest. It was so relaxing and tranquil with all the amenities you need at your fingertips. Nik recommended visiting a river about a mile away and totally worth it.
