Awesome location less than 10 minutes to downtown Estes Park, and stellar views in every direction. We ended up with the site to ourselves and woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the valley. Definitely recommend staying here if you’ll be exploring Estes or Rocky Mountain National Park!
Another awesome trip up to Weston Pass. We had the hut to ourselves. The road was less hardpacked than expected which made for a fun ski down the next morning. All in all, a great night spent in one of the most scenic spots.
Mare Island is such a special and interesting place! Myrna has created a really cool atmosphere, and hiking around to see all the history was fun! Camp Ammo was a great car-camping spot for the night: a paved site right near a bathroom, and very quiet since it’s just the one spot. Easy to get to, short walk to the visitor center, and no fuss!
Could not have asked for a better stay. Laurie and Greg are the most accommodating, gracious hosts and have really thought of everything — from water bottles brought to the tent, to solar lanterns for night time, towels, and even some coffee for the morning. Truly a wonderful glamping experience!
The creek is so beautiful, and it’s quite serene to sit on the porch and overlook the water. Gets nice and cool at night, but the bedding is super comfy and warm.
Seriously, WOW. Paradise Shores is such an incredible, breathtaking spot. Between the views, the reservoir access, the amazing Hosts, and just the “vibe” with so many other friendly campers — truly an amazing place.
You’re in close proximity to other campers / RVs, but everyone was extremely respectful of quiet hours, and it was very peaceful. Plus, the stars were incredible at night.
The free kayak and SUPs were also a huge plus — you seriously can’t beat the views paddling in the reservoir.
Seriously the perfect location to explore Salt Lake. Convenient to downtown, and feels secluded enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Tucked away at the end of a residential road, you wouldn’t expect an expansive farm with horses, goats, pigs and so many more animals. So cool to basecamp here for the night!
What a gem of a spot! We absolutely loved the swimming area and mountain views. It was quite peaceful and quiet at night, and we were able to connect our RV to electric from our parking spot away from the house with ease. This place is truly a hidden gem if you're heading through the area or exploring Denver/Boulder. Our host was also nice enough to give us a tour of the land and show us the beautiful flowers they grow there. Can't wait to come back!
The host, Karen, was so communicative and helpful before my visit. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than expected, but the tipis and the location are absolutely beautiful. Hotchkiss is also a very cool little town, and only about a 5-10 minute drive away. Overall an awesome property in a really gorgeous area. Looking forward to coming back.
Such a perfect night in a lovely tiny house! It has all the amenities of home (kitchen with a stove, cookware, etc; bed with a warm comforter; chairs to lounge outside; a shower that’s surprisingly spacious). I felt secluded from the tipis which were only a short walk away, and walking around the farm on the many trails was great!
The perfect secluded spot to enjoy a night in total solitude. The tent itself was quite cozy — the bedding was plenty warm, even when it got breezy and cool at night — and everything was very neat and clean despite being in the middle of virtually nowhere. The view from the tent is breathtaking, and hiking along the Colorado Trail was a real treat as we left.
