This is a great little private site in pristine wilderness. I'm not usually an outdoor swimmer but the stream was clear and clean and deep enough to get real swimming in!
A note: This is pretty primitive. Although there are great picnic tables and some sites have a fire pit, you have to hike to get water from a hose, and there's no electricity and very little cell connection. Come prepared with lots of water vessels so you don't have to walk every time you get your water.
Definitely will come again. Arkansas doesn't get enough credit for being a prime outdoor destination.
This was gorgeous and secluded. It feels super secret and private. We saw maybe four cars the entire weekend, and were the only campers. Every once in a while a horse and rider would come by. Pristine bathrooms and great hiking, too!
Everything is donation-based, so be sure to bring some cash so you can pull your weight.
Thank you to McCully for sharing the land with campers.
