Such a beautiful property! Sam was super accommodating, and gave us the perfect corner spot nestled into the woods to park our mini camper. Each site has a fire pit, logs to sit on, and a fire extinguisher. There’s a communal portopotty with hand sanitizer which was nice and clean. The river is the perfect backdrop and provides beautiful ambient sound thru the night. Definitely will be back!
Amy and the Rainbow retreat were absolutely perfect! She made herself available via text at all times but gave you ultimate privacy at the campsite. The site itself is perfect. Beautiful tree cover with a nice clean camping area. I stayed in my Jeep for the night but there’s ample room to put out a few tents and still have privacy. Very clean port o potty on site with shower stall and sink and garbages. 5 stars!
Pam and her property are amazing! She was super informative about the area and really made us feel like part of her family! The views of cornfields and moonlight skies were spectacular. We plan to stay again soon!
What a great place! Tim is an awesome host, and a kid at heart! His fun energy is definitely reflected in his property. He greeted us and gave us a tour of the property via golfcart. He allowed us to pick whichever spot we wanted. We opted for right next to the pond. After we un hooked and started to set up he kindly gave us his home phone number if we had and questions and left us to enjoy the evening. He was gracious enough to let us use whatever we wanted- Paddle boat, canoes, water cannon, dock and gazebo. There is also a large fire pit nearby which we did not take advantage of, but Tim offered us fuel to start it and wood as well. The water was super clean, and probably about 80 degrees. We walked part of the property. There are many trails that Tim has maintained for easy access to all of the sites. Weather you want to wake up to an amazing view overlooking the property, be nestled in the woods in complete isolation, or play all day at the pond, Tim has it all! We will definitely be back!
The experience of having horses walk right up to the porch was absolutely awesome. However, the porch was so overgrown it wasn't able to be used. There were also some loose floorboards that made you nervous just walking on. This was our honeymoon vacation that we were both looking forward to, immensely. The pictures that are posted for this listing are not an actual portrayal of the yurt as of today. The kitchen sink faucet was on the verge of breaking. The "purified" water was unplugged and clearly filled from the tap as the refill on the floor had no cap. The shower curtain had mold on the bottom and the linoleum in the bathroom is bubbled up. After pulling back the bedding it was clear that the sheets were not changed. Blond hair and stains all over. I found a clean set of sheets in the closet and put them over the dirty pair mostly because I was afraid of what I would find if I took the sheets off. I would have given this 5 stars if it was accurate to how it was portrayed in the pictures. However we were not expecting to have to buy our own dish soap, re make beds, and not have a usable porch. The place needs a deep cleaning and a better attention to detail. Sorry, guys.
