The view at the top of the bluffs looking over Ol' Miss is 10/10. Allen was really welcoming. If available, I recommend hitching a ranger ride to the camp site. If not, prepare for a steep 20 minute climb through the forested bluffs. Allen can provide plenty of great firewood up there too. A ranger ride up, back down, and firewood cost an extra $25 and was well worth it.
Great camping spot. Hammock posts, fire pit, a bench, a picnic table, and an outhouse all it’s own nook tucked back by the woods. We woke up to rooster and turkey calls in the morning. Tons of trout in the stream nearby. The host is very respectful, and keeps this site well maintained.
Very nice site off of a remote creek. There are single track and hiking trails immediately accessible. There were multiple options to pitch our tent and had the option to bring the fire ring to the spot that we liked. The site is remote and very quiet except for the stream. Really great host.
