We arrived with plans to see the coast and maybe visit a winery, but we never left the Treehouse–it was such a relaxing and peaceful oasis. The hosts recommended the farmer's market in Occidental and we got delicious tamales, indian food, and baked goods to stock the kitchen with.
The kitchen had everything we needed and was super cute. A fridge/freezer, convection/toaster oven, small non-stick electric skillet, microwave, electric hot water kettle, and double-walled french press.
The bathroom is very charming with a window that overlooks the forest. It didn't feel like camping when we had a nice flush toilet and hot shower (super short to save water, of course).
At night the stars and moon shone brightly. The beds were so comfy and the treehouse very cozy with a nice cross breeze, a heater in case of chills in the morning, and handy plastic trays that slide under the beds to keep stuff organized.
Robert and Jeanne made us feel so welcome and cared for. If you get the chance to see it for yourself, please take good care of it because we plan to return soon!
