This is a great spot for fishing. The river is an easy walk from our camp sites. The rv pad was level side to side too! If i could ask for any improvements, it would be for a picnic table for the camp sites and maybe a fire pit or bbq. But there is a community fire pit with a grill that you can use if you need it. We had a folding table and little tabletop pit we used instead, so it wasnt a big deal. Full hookups with 50 amp service made it very comfortable. There is also a LOT of shade, but out RV was in the sun. We took out chairs to the river overlook and enjoyed the shade and view from there.
We did swim in the river, but you have to use caution due to wildlife and boat traffic. The water is still, so its easy to kayak up and down stream with ease.
Overall, this is a great place, especially if you intend to kayak, canoe, and /or fish.
Actually backing into site 1 was a trick. I have a 33ft bumper pull, but it went in after a couple of tries. I was also a little confused about what part of the river bank we could use, since there is a space reserved for the cabin campers there.
If you're mobility-challenged, you will need a motorized something to get down to the river, because it's a steep driveway. Take a wagon for your stuff! The river is really wide and deep there, so take kayaks/canoes and life jackets for the little ones.
The view is...I cannot find the word. Just wait and see for yourself.
I highly recommend, and I will be back to this place!
