This orchard is absolutely gorgeous. There were apples as far as the eye could see. We walked around the orchard and discovered so many gems. We came across a few vintage trucks and old wooden crates that we photographed. The host provided us with a fire pit, barbecue grill, picnic table, chairs and of course apples. He was gracious enough to manicure the lawn near the campsite, which was much appreciated. There were a few families that came to pick apples while we were there. Due to the size of the orchard, we were not disturbed at all. We had such a peaceful & blissful time. We will definitely be back.
Shaun was the ULTIMATE host. He truly thought of everything. This tiny house was super posh. We had a full bathroom that was stocked with towels, soap, toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner. The bed was super comfy. There was a window AC unit which was such a pleasant surprise. The kitchen had everything that we needed; utensils, paper towels, coffeemaker, coffee, toaster oven, microwave and a spacious fridge. There was also a television, WiFi and a small sitting area inside. There was a cooler, gas grill, fire pit, citronella candles and seating outside. The cool thing about this space is that it’s located in a residential neighborhood; however, the area is quiet, private, spacious and amongst a mini forest. This tiny house is about two miles away from anything that you need; pharmacy, grocery store and restaurants. On our last day we visited downtown Holland and picked up some yummy treats. This tiny house gives you the amenities of a hotel while still offering a true camping experience. We cooked on an open fire both nights that we stayed here. We had ample firewood due to the forestry location. The only negative, which Shaun has no control over, is a flood light that the neighbor has. It was really bright and it took away from the fireside experience. We will definitely be back in the future.
Chaz was an AMAZING host. When we arrived, we were greeted with a smile. On Friday and Saturday, they have a live band, brick oven pizza and a whole host of neighbors who enjoy themselves. This is a 400 acre working organic farm. You truly have the best of both worlds. You have the ability to enjoy seclusion and solitude while also enjoying the neighborhood festivities. We were invited to peruse the farm which was beautiful. There was a farm store filled with spices and other delicacies. Our stay was blissful. We enjoyed nightly fires and beautiful views. Firewood was provided for free. The grasss was a little tall; however, it is a 400 acre farm. Just make sure that you bring LOTS of bug spray. We met some fellow campers who were sweet as pie. When we left, Chaz thanked us for coming out. We will definitely be back.
