Our family of 4. Two adults and two kids (11 & 7) rolled up to camp Friday evening! Our host greeted us and escorted us right to our site. The homestead grounds were beautifully kept and green! The poppies and peoneys were beautiful! The host Rickey was so good to our girls! After an amazing. Breakfast Saturday morning they got to water some al pacas and feed the chickens. After dinner she gave each of my girls a basket to hunt for eggs in the coop! The day we were leaving out host brought left over food to our camp in baskets so our girls would not miss the chance to feed the chickens again before we left. The is not just a camp ground. Come prepared to see a beautiful homestead and enjoy top notch hospitality! Thanks Ricky and we look forward to visiting you again!!
My kids loved Misty Mountain and did not want to leave. They loved the goats and and miniature horses. Our site had a newly built platform that we set up our screen house on. We had a beautiful view! With kiddos, breaking up the day would be good with a little off site activity. The outhouse is clean and well maintained. For staying on a farm the roosters and animals did not wake us up and we had a lot of privacy. Camping tip: If you plan to interact with the animals A good amount like our kids did - you might like to have a small basin of water and soap at your camp. There is water to wash up with available - just not right at the camp.
