Primitive nook not far from Nashville. The site was easy to get to, Gregoire’s instructions are spot on, and accessible without any issues. The site is tucked into the surrounding trees with a fire pit and flat spots for a tent. It’s close to the road but without a lot of traffic so there was little noise and enough privacy. It’s a “hike in, hike out” spot as there are no amenities, as described in the listing. No complaints, it was just what we were looking for as a stop on our road trip.
This is more of an established camp ground with a shop at the top and then a set of cabins and the tent sites at the bottom by the creek. The path down to the tent sites is steep with ruts, cars with low clearance or without 4WD might have trouble. The camp site was along a ridge overlooking a creek which was nice. Each site has a fire pit as well. Some sites are more open with less privacy than others.
We were unable to get in contact with the host upon arrival.
Super friendly and helpful hosts with a beautiful property. The site is nestled back in some trees and a creek running on the other side backing up to a national forest. You have plenty of privacy and uninterrupted views, little to no noise or light pollution. The sites have picnic tables and the hosts can provide trash/recycling receptacles and water if needed.
