Very reasonably close to Cape Mears and Tillamook. Beautiful and well manicured campsites along creek. Campsites are somewhat close to each other, but plenty of room and not near as bad as a State Park Campground. Hosts are great and worked out great for us.
Site is very close to Dunes, but away from the crowds. Campsite was really private and secluded with great views. Camp site is newly developed, but Mel has put a lot of care and thought into developing this site. We had a 12-man tent, 5-man tent, 2-man tent, a 10’ canopy and shower tent all set up there with plenty of space. Although the site is on a hillside, the entire campsite is on level ground. Fire pit and picnic table are provided for convenience. Mel is developing a couple of other campsites nearby, but each site will have complete privacy. Vehicles will not be able to pull right up to any of the campsites, but will be a short walk from the parking area to each campsite. On #3, we were able to park within about 30’ with some technical vehicle maneuvering. Porta-John was central to all three campsites, so entailed a short walk. We had a great stay and felt lucky to find this campsite!
Do check out the archery range and trail there; Doug was very helpful and our kids had a great time.
Great place to get away from it all. Our Morning Meadows campsite was a little small for our setup (10 man tent and camp kitchen stuff), but there were others there that were plenty big for that. I just didn’t know which one to choose when making reservations. But we loved our stay there just kicking back and relaxing for a few days.
