We had the best time at the ranch. It was so quiet and relaxing and tbh I LOVED hearing the cows at night. This place is really a gem. If you’re the kind of camper who likes having their own cooking utensils and tools (I am!) you may want to bring them to use in the communal kitchen. Otherwise, everything is provided and well appointed. The hidden site is...hidden! It was so chill and we had insane privacy. Pit toilets are cleaner than any site I’ve ever been to and there’s so much to explore on the property. I can’t wait to come back.
This was, without a doubt, one of my favorite camping experiences to date. Jim is an excellent host - warm, kind, and helpful. The ranch itself has the best energy and gorgeous views for miles. We stayed at Songdog West, and although there were just two of us, we marveled at how much space there was at just one site. The sites are far enough away from each other to allow for privacy - which if you’ve ever camped in any national parks or public lands, you know is an absolute luxury. Each site is amazingly equipped (covered picnic table, fire ring, trash cab, chairs). The ranch is peaceful and quiet. The sunsets are incredible. The camp digs, Jill and Gypsy, are delightful, sweet creatures. I’ve already booked my next trip to Songdog because my experience was that phenomenal. Thank you, Jim, for opening your ranch to campers and providing such a wonderful outdoor experience!
