We stayed two nights, one in the upper woods “pond view.” I liked this site because it felt private (no one else was up in the woods that night) and there was space for the kids to explore and play. The second night we were down in the field (which is a little smaller than The open field I imagined. More of a large grassy lawn space) and that was also nice to have the open view of the stars/sky. But it was in full sun and felt very hot as soon as the sun came up. The kids had a blast in the “clubhouse,” their name for the playset next to the field. Anthony was so nice and accommodating. He helped us bring our gear up the steep hill and has everything you need- nice fire pits, cast iron skillets to borrow, fresh produce and even trash cans.
First of all, Anthony was so nice, responsive and accommodating. We stayed in two sites- up in the woods “pond view” and down in the field. We liked the privacy of the woods, although no one else was up there when we were. With more campers it would not have felt super private. The field was also nice because we were able to see the stars. The sites have everything you need including a good fire pit, trash, and even cooking pans if needed. He also had fresh produce for us. Our kids loved the play structure near the field site that they named the clubhouse. They played on it for hours.
This place is magical. It’s serene, energizing and peaceful all at once. The cabin we stayed in was perfect- I love that they thought of everything including ledges for setting things down and hooks, towels for the outdoor shower, and water. I brought my two young kids and it was very family friendly. We did a yoga class in the morning with Shaun. It was great and my kids had fun. Rama was so kind and warm. We really felt like he was excited to have us there. The fall colors were at their peak when we visited and the views From the cabins are stunning. We hope to come back!
What a perfect spot! I brought my 2yo and 6yo and we had a lovely time. The kids enjoyed visiting with the goats and chickens and dog and cat. The tent was pristine and the bed was very comfortable. There was a lot of space. Amy was such a nice host and gave us drinking water and plenty of recommendations of hiking trails and activities in the area. It’s a short walk into town and an easy drive to Conway and the white mountains. We loved our visit!
We have such a nice visit to Sandiwood Farm! The host was easy to communicate with and so kind upon arrival and throughout our whole stay. She gave us a bag of fresh green beans and a sample of their maple syrup. What a nice treat! Both Sarah and her husband were very kind and helpful. We stayed in the larger cabin with the loft and it was lovely. It was secluded, but sat on the large open meadow, so you could see the sunrise from the loft. It was very very clean. We brought our two young kids and they loved running around the meadow and through the wooded area. We enjoyed a fire in the evening and the next morning. We were able to bring a pack n play for our youngest and had plenty of space for it. There is no running water, but we made do just fine. There is a few fun things to do nearby. We went to a small nearby town with a lovely hiking area and lake beach for swimming.
We hope to come back again!
