I could probably gush about Julie's place for hours, but let me just begin with this: do yourself a favor and go stay at her place. I visited many camps around Pahoa and Goat with the Flow was definitely my favorite camping spot. My visit was so perfect, her spot is magical and I adored every moment I was there. I will 100% be coming back again for a longer stay. The goats are some of the cutest animals I have ever seen and it was so fun not only interacting with them myself but watching Julie with them as well. A huge benefit of her property is the common area and kitchen for the guests to use. Julie also provides a welcome letter offering plenty of activities and ideas on what to do. She also had a lava tube running through the property, which is so neat because you can hike into it. Make sure you check out the products she has for sale, I bought some passionfruit caramel spread and it is INCREDIBLE. Thank you so much for hosting me Julie, I truly loved getting to know you. Can't wait till next time!

Rufus's property is conveniently located, just outside of Pahoa, but gives you the privacy of a secluded forest getaway. He has set the camping area back from the road, and has cleared a nice spot for his campers. It's so great that he provides a solar shower too! Make sure that you are clear on the directions because my GPS took me very out of the way from where it actually is. Rufus also has a market at the front of the property where he sells local art and goods. Rufus is an artist himself and I got to hear some of his beautiful poetry, he is very talented! Ask him to recite Requiem for a White Owl! Some other highlights of this property include the picnic table for cooking and dining and the beautiful old banyan tree at the back of the land that Rufus showed me. Thank you for showing me around Rufus, it was a pleasure meeting you!

Farmstay in a 1973 Airstream
in Dare 2 Dream Farms, CaliforniaThis spot is SO SWEET! Not only is the property beautiful, this airstream is, in a word, magical. Jeremy and his wife have renovated, decorated and outfitted this camper to absolute perfection. They have thought of every detail there is and I absolutely loved the decor in it. Make sure when you stay to check out South Side Coffee Co. in Lompoc, they have really good pastries! Thanks so much Jeremy for hosting me, it was a pleasure meeting you and photographing the airstream. I will 100% be coming back to stay again!

in Banana Patch Hawaiian Hostel , HawaiiMauna Lea Manor
in Mauna Lea Manor, HawaiiThis property is magnificent, it’s so cool what Stephanie and her husband have done with these cottages, they are all their own unique little treasures. The interiors are all so beautiful with wall paintings, art and carved furniture. Each cottage has bunk beds and a loft. The manor is in such a great location, close to the quaint little town of Holualoa with shops and restaurants, and not far from Kailua-Kona and the beaches. You can rent the cottages individually or rent the entire property for a large group. This spot is perfect for a retreat because of the dance/yoga studio. The hot tub with the waterfall is also a nice aspect of this listing. The personal barbecue and outdoor dining patio makes each cottage incredibly special. Thanks for having me Stephanie!

in Divine Hawaiian Coffee Camp, HawaiiYurt with Ocean Views
in Isle Of You Naturally Farm, HawaiiThis yurt is set in such a serene place. This is one of the most stunning locations; abundant with magical pathways, colorful flowers and gorgeous ocean views. The hosts have done a magnificent job with the landscaping, there are tropical flowers everywhere you look. The yurt itself looks out on the ocean and is such a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the nature that surrounds you. Normand and Kelly have thought of every detail with this property, and it shows with this incredible yurt. They really go the extra mile with their hospitality, providing a fruit bowl and fresh flowers for their guests. The bathroom and shower are also clean and cute, so adorably decorated! Snorkel equipment was also available and much appreciated! One thing that I found especially helpful was the detailed directions and easy road coming in. It can be easy to get lost around this area and some of the roads are very rough but I found this part seamless, which was really nice. Thanks for the host!
