Once again the Crow’s Nest and it’s owners outdid themselves. The new addition of the large outdoor camping stove (including cast iron cookware) blew me away. It was super convenient, right on the back porch and easy to use. The cabin itself again was very clean, smelled wonderful, was organized, and had everything needed from kitchen goods to toiletries (towels, games and so much more!). I actually followed the neat and detailed map nicely provided in the binder to the Kakawlin Creek Flooding (copies provided). I spent almost the whole day out in my dinghy boat relaxing, rowing and fishing. What a beautiful area! It was less than 20 minutes away from the cabin ( thanks for referring it Sheila!). I booked again for early September and can’t wait to go back. I also love putting up my tree hammock near the cabin in the woods, but if you don’t have one the hosts even provide that! The hosts are a wealth of information for the area, are so kind and very accommodating to your wants/needs. A must see and Hipcamp do! Thanks again Sheila & Jeff.
The Crow’s Nest was a magical cabin on beautiful grounds made by creative and delightful human beings. The photos do not do this place justice. The moment you turn onto the driveway, the spirit of forestry surrounds you. The boardwalk to the cabin was so cool with twinkling lights that guide the way at night. There were so many thoughtful details inside and outside. The live edge wood molding, cleanliness/organization, fountains, artwork, the super comfy bed/sheets, mini fridge, fans, heater, toaster oven (which you can cook just about anything in), microwave, coffee maker with all the goods, cooking/eating implements, toiletries - the list goes on! There’s even a shower and compost toilet right inside the cabin with reading materials! Not to mention all the wood that your heart desires for the huge fire pit right out back. There’s even an enclosed picnic table and citronella candles/bug spray. Here’s the kicker- if you’re working from home and need WIFI (or whatever other reason)- this is the place for you. I spent the work week at the cabin and had no issues what-so-ever. This is a must see and do HipCamp. Sheila & Jeff were just amazing hosts and the whole experience was unparalleled (thank you). Trails, wildlife, ambiance, art, hammocks and sweet Violet <3 ... just do it!
Camp 437 exceeded our expectations in every way. The tipi itself was beautiful & very clean inside. The 2 cots were perfect for sleeping and there was even a lantern provided. The pit toilet (w/ toilet paper and hand sanitizer) was very comfortable and clean plus the views couldn’t be beat. The free bundle of wood was very convenient and thoughtful. There was also a tiki torch and coil to keep the bugs away. The fire pit itself was very nice. Beautiful and unique trails throughout the land. The river was so peaceful and serene. There were even chairs provided near the water. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you Dove and John.
