My short stay at Zome Village was the highlight of a short road trip from Portland down to Ukiah. It is rare to find hosts as gracious as Amir. I was lucky enough to pass through the weekend after his first zome had been fully completed, and it was a treat to be able to use the space for morning meditation and yoga. The night I arrived, after picking a spot to set up my tent, Amir made a fire, cooked some food over the coals, and we talked until we were both ready for bed. If you're considering staying here, hesitate no longer.
Our brief stay with Alexandra far exceeded our expectations. The photos of the site do not—cannot—convey the beauty of the property. We arrived to a stunning sunset over the meadow facing west, and had a lovely time meeting the animals: cats, a bunny, some chickens, a goat, and a whole lot of horses. The campsites were quiet (despite being directly next to the road, there are almost zero cars passing past sunset), and the irrigation canal a peaceful soundtrack. Our only wish was that we had more than an evening to spend here.
