Jen and Amy have an amazing setup and they are awesome! We stayed in the juniper cabin, and ended up booking another night because we loved it so much. The cabins are spacious, cozy and simple. The bathroom and kitchen area are just a short walk under the stars at night or with the hues of the sunrise in the morning. There is an observation tower to lookout and they have an awesome spot for sunset. Camp Kush is the perfect vibe for us who love living simply and deeply connected with earth. Honestly we were scoping out the area by the end because we loved it so much, and would love to work with Jen and Amy. We left feeling inspired by what they are creating. They are passionate, motivated and carry a lot of vision and you can see it and feel it in the way they tend to their land. This place is unique and would stay here all the time if we could! I would highly recommended staying here at Camp Kush with Jen and Amy; you will fall in love with it!
Mt.Shasta 360 was absolutely magical! The campsite is tucked away through Juniper Valley, which smelled amazing! It literally was the perfume of juniper berry and wild sage. The tent area is in the middle of Mount Shasta and Lake Shastina! There is a rock fire pit, a tent pad which is gravel and a very small little cement block that we used for a table for our Coleman stove. There is also a very, very clean vault toilet. The site is so secluded and quite. There’s certainly a deep peace about this place. Honestly my partner and I by the end we’re looking at property to buy within Juniper Valley. It was definitely a memorable place for us and only about 20 minutes from the town Weed and 30ish min to hiking Mount Shasta. This is the place to stay! The views are breathtaking, and there were no mosquitos! We watched the sunset and sunrise, and the night we were there it was a full moon. The moon rise was right behind Mount Shasta. It felt very sacred to see the Mountain illuminated from behind the clouds. I cannot say enough about this place. Definitely stay here and experience the beauty and sacred energy of Mount Shasta!
We met up with two friends at Lauren’s place, and it was close to lakes, creeks and forests. We went kayaking at Scott’s reservoir, which was so beautiful. The space has a propane refrigerator for your things, pots and pans, and water dispensers. Lauren’s space is super clean, and very spacious. We were able to set up two tents on the wooden octagon platform which was super cozy. There’s also two chairs and a rocking chair. Lauren really added a lot of sweet and considerate touches. The road to her place is a long, dirt and very bumpy road but well worth it. The directions she provided were perfect, especially with the landmarks to know where you are. We loved staying here and would definitely come back.
Zach and Katie’s place was absolutely amazing. It is right in Estes Park and less than 15 minutes from the Rocky Mountain National Park. Zach guided us toward some awesome hikes that are literally right in his backyard. Their property backs up to Deer Mountain Trail, which is where we watched the sunset! The tent space was cozy as it was a mulched pad, and there’s running water with a sink. They provide firewood so we definitely enjoyed a cup of tea around the fire with the view of the mountains. It was spectacular. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
The Light Center was absolutely amazing! The property is tucked in the woods on a dirt road with wild flowers and grasses all along the driveway. We roamed the trails and watched the sunset along the driveway. Robin and her community is extremely generous and welcoming. We were lucky to have the entire loft to ourselves, which was absolutely beautiful. Robin really made our time feel special and shared stories, visions and spiritual resonance. The space is intentionally cared for with many comfy beds, a huge space for sleeping, a large community kitchen and a space to relax. My partner and I loved staying here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone! We certainly will return when we drive through Kansas again!!
